It's rad to hear Tony Hawk laugh with such gusto in this episode. He is not always like that on his show. That laughing combined with how he engages Gonz here, really shows how Hawk has such a high perspective of Respect and admiration for Gonz.
Gonz shows it back with how he cites these random idiosyncrasies that Hawk does not remember but always relates to.
    It's sick.

Of course the Earth could only shake and tremble as these two people shared the same spacetime location. Two great dudes that go great together. Mark is just such a lovely human being. No artifice, no conceit, no dishonesty, no disdain for anyone or anything, just an earnest, sincere, humble soul. To see both Tony and Gonz appreciating each other's abilities and laughing like only old friends can is to know what contentment really is. You really get the feeling that hanging out with Gonz would make you feel loads better anytime or anywhere. One of the most beautiful moments was when Tony asked him what his favorite thing to do at a contest/skate event was and Gonz just guilelessly answers "I just loved being part of the scene." Somebody who just deeply enjoys and appreciates being with and around other skaters skating for the pure love and sheer fun of it. What a wonderful way to start the week.

49:11 I’ve never seen Hawk crack so uninhibitedly. thanks, Gonz! 51:07 our heroes/legendary pros are even better pals
this duo was incredible! Ellis missed out for sure, but Gonz & Hawk together (and uninterrupted) was the way to go here.
we’re seeing the forefathers of modern skating cut up & reminisce; the 10 yr old me is reeling & giving the >40 yr old me poor advice on how well I could pull a lofty Judo Air in my hangar off of a launch ramp.

Aint gonna happen. Nine club is amazing but they would be fawning at him the entire time and everyone would feel weird and it would just be a bumout. Sadly theres just some people that are never going to sit in that room, but there are other opportunities.

Yeah, I'm gonna riff on the theme of some of the other comments....No wonder why there was an earthquake in New York. Two titans sat down for a talk, moving the world. As usual.
Anyway, always thought it was rad to hear Rodney talk about Gonz influencing his dark slides ( and hearing TH and MG talk about tricks was pretty epic. I mean, shaping skating and everything). That caveman to rail still looks crazy (even Mullen recognized). Really liked the inclusion of the footage in the video here (his vert part in the Blind video was so good. OG ATV. Well, except for full pipes apparently.)
This really brightened my day. Thanks, Hawk vs Wolf.
