i think people would really love to see small sessions with the guest afterwards in your park. Something light to wrap up the interview and end on a fun note!
💯
Agreed!! That would be sick
I know both of them wouldn’t agree but the relationship between these two is very much proud father and son
Tony begot Reyn
Gotta be weird too in some ways since when they were younger their 10 year difference in age was so much more pronounced but now you'd assume they're about the same age at first glance.
Im sure Andrew is very aware that he hasnt been far from tony his whole career lol. Baker was on blitz till deathwish and i think birdhouse is baker boys now too
you my brother speak the TRUTH,RESPECT BRO.
They both would agree 100 percent
One of my biggest inspirations as far as maintaining sobriety. Looked up to him as a teen skate rat and came back around to discovering that he was sober, when I was in the worst phase of my abuse. 8 months in and its just great to see him thriving and honestly, I feel the best I have ever felt in my life. AA is a huge help as well.
Hope everything is still going well bro. If not, there’s always time to jump back on the wagon.
I hope he releases a new pro model shoe on New Balance.
You know Andrew is a real one cuz he never says specifically he’s going to AA but he tells you he goes to AA. It’s called Alcoholics Anonymous for a reason and he’s keeps the code! That’s the real reason why he’s The Boss. You inspires us all man!
You’re supposed to keep the other people anonymous
@lamBETTERthanY0U in press radio and films and podcasts are the new radio.
You can tell people you go to AA. But it’s based on attraction, not promotion. Meaning don’t be preachy about it just because it works for you.
maybe he goes to SMART meetings. Although they tell you otherwise, there's other ways to stop than 12-steps based groups. I fought with this for years, than I read Dr. Stanton Peele's books and it changed my views about everything.
No it's not the real reason hes the boss and anyone in recovery knows exactly wtf hes talking about it's not some grand secret.
Get Willy on the show! I remember watching his trick tips when the internet just started up, way back in the day. His website had a list of tricks, which were like 5 second, pixelated videos of him doing the trick (and it took forever to load them lmao).
Don’t forget his scholastic book, I remember the trick tip books
Tony booted Willy from fuquing shiddy Birdhouse.
Needs to be on here and on Nine Club. Dude is an absolute skate legend.
Willy is the best! I interviewed him in a over bee down in Tampa for my show. Not intentionally trying to promo my show, but this was the first comment I saw when I was watching this episode so I had to mention it lol
😂😂😂 you’d leave it downloading and come back later hoping it was done.
At 1:14:12 "Like and describe" I love it!
Was a massive fan of Andrew when I was young and skating. Him, Jamie Thomas, glory days of street skating haha.
I love hearing Willy get the respect he deserves. He's always been one of my favorite skaters!
I love how Tony looks at Jason when he talks, you never know what he's gonna say lol I love it!
😄
I love that Andrew gave props to Ocean Howell and Kris Markovich, i had the Santa Cruz vid "risk it- gambling with gravity" . I loved Ocean's part in it and still one of my favorite videos from that Era that doesn't get enough love. I had the gator pattern Vision shorts even, 😅😅
You are 3 living legends. Great interview with the Boss and you can tell its 100 percent genuine and from the heart and respectful.
This is one of the best ways to do 100 episodes🎉
Fuck yea
Baker piss drunks
No one more special and influential to me than Reynolds. This is the one. TY Tony & Jason
I was skating underpass skatepark Toronto, and I could swear Reynolds was there watching me skate, I didn't ask if he was, but if you read this Boss, if it was you, it was a pleasure and honor watching you watching.
Probably . I had the pleasure of meeting him on the first baker has a death wish tour and this just sounds like Reynolds
@@streetsurfslumpy stoked for this !
@@eduardocolin2958 yea he was just observant like that . Like I tried to talk to him but I was nervous asf . . He just kinda laughed at me and was like yea I’ll sign it for u . Talked to my grandmom who bought me to the demo and everything lmao
@@streetsurfslumpy You know, it was not only that, before underpass skatepark i was skating around downtown Toronto and hitted the skatepark very often and then that day i went in a convenience store and some guy letted fall something behind my back and when i turned around behind that guy was who i suppose was Reynolds, i sensed like he told the guy to drop off something behind me, and who i suppose was the Boss was staring at me as i turned around but i didnt recognize him, and somehow i thought he looked familiar, then i went to underpass, it wasnt far from the convenience, and i was in the zone, so deep, and then after a while i noticed the same guy of the convenience store watching me skate, and i thought he really does looks like Reynolds, perhaps i should have approached him, but the only thought of it was scary, im way too shy and focused when i skate, later on i thought that perhaps what happened on the convenience was him trying to see if i recognize him, dont know but anyways could have been someone that really does looked like him, specially watching this interview, if he was, what a tale, it would be way too a big blast if he could confirm this, it would bring peace to my mind, whether if he was or not
I fuckin love Reynolds and Greco ive been watching em shred since i was a teenager always looked up to those guys. I remember the Baker ad in Transworld when Greco got sober. It was a double page spread and i believe he was doing a crook down a handrail and it said "Jim Greco is off drugs", ill never forget it. Now being a 34 year old skater with 26 months sober off heroin and alcohol this resonates with me so fuckin much. Keep pushin dudes
Tony, Jason ... You 2 were my idols back when I skated between 2000 and 2015 and discovering this pod cast in my 30s got my fishing out my dusty Santa Cruz bamboo deck and got back in the skate park I haven't been in for 10 years and loving life again love you guys!!!
Fantastic effort team reaching 100 shows. What a journey. Long may it continue please.
Having a rough day and this made me legitimately happy. Andrew is my all time favorite and he should definitely talk more. Some great inspirational quotes from him in this episode.
Would love yal to do an episode about gleaming the cube, & tell Andrew this episode & the one with Ryan Shekler have have helped me decide after many tries to definitively get sober 🙏🏼🎄🤙🏼
This was a great one. Andrew was a massive influence on me when I started skating, all I wanted as a kid was to be able to do massive gaps with just a hint of the style and confidence that he did. It would be awesome to bring Willy or Jeremy Klein on, I love hearing stories about the early Birdhouse days.
The boss
I remember when Andrew had his 1st part, dude is an absolute legend
this episode is so good. it's rare to hear 3 really good skaters speaking about skateboarding in such exact terms with such enthusiasm. so many great skaters either can't put it into words or are too cool to geek out about it. this is almost like having 3 hosts. it's wild
I wanna hear more of Ansrews skate talk
Top 3 street skaters lists should all include Reynolds. The dude still sends it, friggin insane..
I say now we need an Ellis video part!!!! Ellis was one of my heroes still is in a big way!!!
Perfect drop! Thank you for bringing Andrew on. Im glad he’s still talking and listening to the Birdman lol! ❤️
Ellis dropping right into good stuff.
@@ronindr forreal! He always brings up amazing stories n subjects
Took me 3 separate sessions, too much information to consume! I started skateboarding in 1996 and it taught me so much. I love ALL three of these guys ❤🎉
Loved this episode!!!
Congrats on 100
Best episode, I could nerd out on this for weeks. So good. 👏👏👏
Thanks! We were expecting that convo for a long time haha! Andrew rocks!
So glad yall are editing clips in
Awesome episode guys! Thanks for doing this , Andrew rocks!
It's a crime how underrated channel is.
Absolute legend. What a treat
what a blessing, loved the deep skate talk
Been waiting for a new podcast with Reynolds for so long ! Yes !
Great episode! Andrew is the man! His outlook on skating now is amazing!!
Dudes, 100 episodes already?! So proud of yous guys 💚
Dude, I loved Andrew Reynolds forever. This was an awesome surprise to see today. Congrats on the 100 episodes! Keep it up! I wish he wasn't against doing more because I'd love to hear more stories from you guys!
love andrew so much, wish you many years of happiness and skating to come!
This was the best episode ever. 🔥 The detailed skate conversations!
Mad respect for Andrew, iconic skater and a positive light in the industry.
Great episode 🤙 and congrats Tony and Jason, looking forward to the next 100 eps 🎉
So cool to see Andrew sit down and talk shop with the boys. One of the greatest of all time. The Boss!
So grateful to live to hear this.
Andrew you bloody legend mate. Well done guys great EP, congrats on the 100 yyeeuuwww 🤘🏽❤🌟
That was awesome to hear & see y’all talk shop about tricks. I always thought that once you figure out a comfortable formula with doing a trick consistently and executing it at a spot or on a ramp is what makes the longevity of skateboarding that much more fun.. supa rad interview 🤙
This could have been 3 hours and I would have rewatched it. Thanks so much for having Andrew on. I would love to hear another conversation like this from you guys again but for now I am grateful that you did this one.
All of the late 80's skaters remember snagging wood from the construction sites, right? Yeah, we went down into the new houses being built next to the apartments we lived in and just jacked it. Made a jump ramp and it was over. Great memories.
Yea man, I’m with ya. 48 and was really into skating from 85 to 90 or so. I had older friends who could drive and they would totally snag wood from sites and we would build ramps. We had so many “launch ramps”.
Loved hearing the mid 80s recap, definitely unbraced the 80s skate fashion. Mcsqeeb hair cut, Berets, vision street wear…. Good memories
@@svensvrgen6336 hahaha. I went "Full 1988 13 year old" writing that comment.
Congrats on 100 episodes
Always been a huge Reynolds fan! Glad to see The Boss on the pod
100 shows in and it's gotten better along the way. Congrats guys!🎉
Having The Boss as guest for this occasion was equally amazing.
Wow its amazing that you legends are at such easy access thanks for your content 🙏
Drew talking about addiction is very great. Im going through my bout with weed and tobacco. This podcast was one of a few things that have pushed me in the right direction in past weeks. Its inspiring to hear someone as accomplished as him going through a similar struggle in order to become great. Skating and drugs especially smoking is very common and difficult to avoid, and its bad when you see so many pros like tom penny or B Herman who smoke a ton but can do what they do, its another excuse you can use to continue. "Im not so bad, they smoke more than me" or " they do it and theyre fine so can i" it makes you feel like you cant hang or something if you quit. Its like uncool to yourself to be square. Weed can become a big crutch for your imagination and sense of well being. Without it you feel like you cant achieve that sense.
Drew is the best. Hes the boss. And he doesnt do it. Really puts your priorities into perspective
Awesome episode, love hearing from the boss and the growth he has went thru.
the episode I've all been waiting for.
Andrew Reynolds is such a beast! This was a good episode!
Also, congrats on 100 episodes, Tony! And I hope you and your sister had a good time celebrating you dad's 100th birthday!
just discovered this... always a Hawk fan, and loved hearing Jason Ellis joke around in old skate vids and rando park sessions. rad to hear sober guys that are in role model positions sharing their experience, and maybe planting seeds for people that will want to get sober later on
Amazing interview with the greatest humans to ever touch a skateboard. Thank you
Congratulations on 100 episodes
Feels good to see Jason smiling and enjoying his life. Our emotions as leaders in the world are contagious, good or bad. Thanks Tony and Jason, you guys keep me going some days.
What a treat! The Boss is definitely one of the more influential skaters for this generations street skaters, and an awesome role model with a great story! Thank you Andrew for taking the time to do this and I hope you talk skating more in the future!
Congrats on the milestone episode!
Congrats on 100! Reynolds is a legend! 🛹
Andrew Reynolds has been inspiring me since my early skating days and continues to do so. Thank you.
Inserting clips of the tricks you guys were talking about was super rad. I still can believe how fast these hours go by.
Great one.
Didn't want the skate talk to end.
honestly this weekend i have binged this channel. u guys awe awesome been a fan of both tony and jason for every as im old now. but i love the banter the guests are brilliant and the show is easy listening thank you for entertaining us.
this finally got me interested on your show!
100 episodes WOOOOO let’s gooooo!! 🎉❤
You guys are awesome. Keep the episodes coming. So much of my childhood was watching videos of you guys shredding. Such nostalgia, getting ready to dust off my board. Coming up on 3 years sober myself. Keep spreading the hope.
Thanks for the great content!
By far the best interview I've seen on hawk versus wolf! Thank you Tony and Jason for this great interview with Andrew. You all are legends, red dragons forever.
Saving this for when i get off work this will make my day better :)
Love this episode and Andrew has been my biggest influence in skateboarding and life
The skateboarding-centric conversation was amazing. This is what skate nerds like me live for.
Thank you for a great episode of the Reynolds! Would be so cool if you guys could get John Cardiel.
I agree with Morgan we need a John cardiel pod and possibly andy roy
100 Ep's and its The Boss man Himself, lets goo!!!
What a great episode.
Hawk Vs. Wolf is great. It's very positive. From the presenters attitudes to the overall message - the overwhelming feeling is one of positivity.
Excellent stuff guys - I know you'll go on for far more episodes.
I find your podcasts very helpful an inspirational. I listen to podcasts to relax an to train my thoughts on something positive/funny/interesting - and this podcast ticks all those boxes.
Thanks, Jason & Tony.
😊
...Joe...
BEST EPISODE YET.
Great episode !
So cool to hear Reynolds talk about Kader and support him.
Reynolds is the coolest guy ever. Ellis seems to talk about himself a lot.
💯Congrats
And as always - most enjoyable.
love this podcast...would love to see them cut in some lines from old skate videos when they have legends like this on...can't wait for the next one!!
Andrew you are my favorite skateboarder of all time!!!! I’m a ride or die baker boy. I’ve been a fan for 20 years!!! Love this 🔥🔥🔥
So happy Andrew exists on this earth. Great perspectives too. This is an outstanding 100th episode. #LegendShit
Great episode love the boss and to hear the sobriety story is inspiring. 100 percent skateboarding legend.
I’ve been waiting on Reynolds’s to come on!! Hell yeah 🤘🏼
So much respect for Andrew
So hyped on the Willy Santos talk. Also the fact that Alf is still ripping and light on his feet.
Happy 💯. Keep talking, I liking listening.
great episode. Love this dude
Favorite episode so far! Felt like it could go on, for another two hours easily😅
Yes. El Jefe. My all time favorite skater since the 90s and still today. One the most influential people to hit skateboarding ever. Good job snaggin the boss man Andrew Reynolds.

THE BAWSE MANE I love the stories you all reminisced about.. So epic
Want to give a massive shout out to Tony for years of hate and still skating and progressing. You're a big influence!
Thanks for supporting Andrew Reynolds and shout out to Andrew for sponsoring Riley.
