Very refreshing to see a review from someone who has no ties to the manufacturer! The last time i had a 3D printer was 7 years ago and i gave up on it cause i had to constantly tweak/upgrade it. You have earned yourself a subscriber and i look forward to more content
Bought the A1 Combo for Christmas too, I had a Creality CR-10 and the difference is so far away experience wise. Other than not knowing how to use the Bambu Studio it's been a flawless experience.
I just got my combo a few days ago and it’s been cranking out really good prints without making any changes. Really impressed with this printer. I started out with an Ender-3 and then purchased an Ender-5 S1. Compared to my experience with my first 2 printers, this one really is out of the box ready. Bambu Studio was fairly easy to use. I have even painted my own multi-color models. If someone asks me what I would recommend for a first printer, this would be it.
Bought an A1 for my grandsons and they sent a defective unit with a recall notice on the LCD. Over a month later Bambulabs has not fixed it even though the Burnaby office is 28 minutes away. They have not reported the fire and electrical safety recall to the government safety database.
Thanks mate. Just bought one of these myself my first dip into 3d printing. Lots of machinery i repair now have compisate gears and other parts that i will now print instead of machine. Looking forward to have a play
this is exciting to see bro, i got mine coming in a couple days, and im like a little kid waiting for santa! i can't wait man! congrats on your purchase!
Just got rid combo for Christmas and no nothing about 3d printing. Great video , you just got a subscriber.
Nice to see a video on this machine that is not from a professional 3D printer reviewer. I’m still on the fence on whether to order the combo or just the machine without the AMS.
It is a great machine, the AMS is a great extra. If you think you are going or want to do multicolor prints then purchase it, you will not be mad.
Go with the combo
Great video. I received mine yesterday from bambu lab and put together. Printing perfect out of the box. I see you didn't get any special gift (hardware kit) included either, like people who purchased from microcenter.
Yes I didn’t get a hardware kit, 😢 I thought it was missing but maybe it was because those kits were trial from Bambu Labs. I purchased mine through Bambu lab, but you can purchase them from the website
The noise from the fan seems a bit too loud.
do you apply glue to the pad or not
Have you tried a retraction test?
Are there any problems with oozing stringing?
No not yet really no stinging issues
Mine was oozing and stringing on an eiffel tower print yesterday. Had to cancel it halfway. Nozzle had filament oozing and dripping while not on the model. Not sure why as I am new to this. Just set it up on Christmas and this was the 1st print that failed. Was trying the time-lapse feature for the 1st time and it was oozing while it parked to take each image. Maybe that was the problem
My a1 is coming tomorrow. I'm curious to see what was the scratching nosie when the bed was moving back and forth while you were doing the tests and calibrations
Also could call it like rattling more if rattle instead
I did have it 2x speed on camera but it does do noise and vibration calibration
@brade3249 ohh ok sweet that's great about to pick mine up from the post office here on about a hour I've been super excite
It does a noise calibration before every print. It also does a nozzle cleaning. There is a rubber strip on the back of the bed that the hot end runs across several times.
im dying to get into 3d printing , im not sure what to get now this ? p1s ? or x1 carbon , i wanna make usuable print and alot of stuff engines for demo purposes etc... thinking to go x1 carbon get 1 and done the first shot
Yes it is a great hobby, think what you want to do in the future. Take account in build volume and type of materials you want to print. After owning a Creality, Anycubic, and Bambu Lab…. I will stick with Bambu Lab😁
If you want to do higher temp filaments like ASA you will want to prob go with an enclosure printer like the X1.
ya im 99% sure im going to buy the x1c i prefer to buy things that are future proof and that way im one and done.@@clenaghen
Isn't it supposed to come with a project kit?
I thought so but I did not get one
I also didn't receive mine... I already put a ticket with their support, but so far just crickets.
Please don't print a Benchy
