    The 2-seater General XP starts around $25k. So unless you need a 4 seater with all the bells and whistles, you don't need to spend $40k.

    That thing is...Sweeet!! 14 inches of travel, 13 plus, inches of ground clearance! Oh and 100HP! Its literally, like a mini trophy truck. (No pit crew required!) I've seen some models. Closer to 60K! 36k isn't bad considering its a 1000cc. General XP, with all the bells an whistles. Its still a lot of money! Most people, I see in my area. With UTV's/ ATV's etc.. Modify and customize, lesser spec machines. Into what they can afford, the aftermarket industry, is packed full of accessories. These things are like "Lego's" Its really fun to build your own version. It absolutely turn's into a competition with your buddy's.

    We’d love to have a side by side, but we need a dump bed for work around our property.
    To make it street legal, you’ll need a windshield, a wiper and an inside outside rear view mirrors.

    Nice review! You mentioned the lack of front camera in the CrossTrek in your review here. Subaru does actually have a front camera on their '24 CrossTrek's. Even a 360. But not for us lowly North Americans. It's in the CrossTrek for the Japanese and Australian markets. I take it as a snub and a downright insult. It's bad enough that they don't even include TPMS for the Canadian market.

    I will pass on a side by side that bangs close to $40,000. That is jackass crazy. A small 4X4 truck or SUV will suit me just fine. I also don't care to sit out in the weather - rain, wind, snow, etc., while hunting. Next comes a truck and trailer to haul the side by side to your favorite spot. Bottom line NO THANKS!! You might consider a helmet and goggles to protect your bean and eyes.

    I don't consider a cheap pickup 30-40k. Unrealistic vehicle choice for 65% of the planet based on income. 35-45k for a weekend dirt toy is pretty out there. (I was a salesman and motocross racer at Honda, yamaha, polaris and can-am) dealerships.

    • @GettingthruLife
      @GettingthruLife 10 місяців тому +1

      @drivingsports I know that's because of covid and out of control inflation. Before 2020 people could get new trucks 30-35k. A cheap truck in the real world is/was a pre-owned with 30-40k miles. Let's be real, a cheap and affordable vehicle for many millions of folks is 15-25k. The vehicle market 2021 to now is a literally a joke plus high leasing and finance rates. Not many people pay 45-50k cash purchase. Sure, some have lots of money but most people watching YT videos are lower to middle class wage earners. I would allow myself to buy a 55-65k truck with $800-900 a month payment.
