@ my vehicle was a buyback from Ford, so its a 2023 and it had 4k miles on it when I purchased it. Had an issue with the main sync screen intermittently going in and out or flickering. Ford said they bought the car back from the original owner and fixed the problem before they put it up for sale. The day I drove it off the lot the screen started flickering an hour into my trip back home. Long story short, had to take 3 visits at the dealership for them to fix the problem which is unacceptable. I assume the original owner just got rid of it because Ford didn’t fix the issue in a timely manner come to find out. It’s going in again because of the rear end clicking when I go from a stop to accelerate or vice versa. Sounds like it’s either the bolts on the rear axle of the drive train or the splines. Quality control needs to be much better. My older ‘14 Explorer was much more reliable.
How do you rate reliability on a new vehicle? If it was the new Tundra when it first came out, they would have said Toyota’s are very dependable, then screwed over viewers who bought it only to have the engine blow. I really like the ST, but it basically is the same interior as an ST-line despite the big upcharge.
