THANK YOU!! These exercises are the EXACT ones I need to gain strength! And be able to get en pointe in the Center on one leg! Gonna start all these daily, starting today! Thanks again! :)
I started following this account after I started ballet again after almost 15 years. It was the reacting to Tiktoks that got me to subscribe. Anyways, tonight I went looking for some exercises to work on my feet and obviously a ton of options came up, but as soon as I saw this one was with Josaphine I knew I could trust this source 1000%!
Tried the first exercise. Immediately my toes stopped scrunching when I did a flex-and-point and I felt my instep working. Thank you for this video, wish I saw it earlier 😂
Can you please make a video ok excessive for people who have strong but inflexible ankles. I have been trying everything and nothing has helped, I am still struggling omg getting over my box and staying up there, because my ankles are not very flexible. Also, please show a couple of exercises to prevent sickling💚!
I agree! I almost wonder if my ankles are locked due to structural issues, they are so inflexible. I've been working on flexibility for years and not making any progress. I do not feel tightness anywhere in my calves/etc. Just can't plie deeply, squat deeply, downward dog.
C F same problem! Some ankles are just very tight. You can‘t do much about it. I was a rhythmic gymnast and I would say that my feet are strong, because we were on relevé for hours every day. But my ankles won‘t flex at all, and my arch is bad. I took up ballet as an adult and my teachers say that I need to work on that, but I‘m pretty sure that it’s impossible and my ankles will never be flexible
i know i’m really late but what i’d do is put a theraband under the big toe only while standing and lift the toe only then put it back down i’ll try find a video explaining what i mean
I don't do ballet so this may not be accurate, but I would imagine these kinds of exercises would be great for improving overall ankle strength for anyone. Whether they'd be enough to help you become able to do pointe, I have no idea (that's not my lane), but it probably depends on what kind of "bad" your ankles are--weak vs. injured vs. poor technique etc. Your best bet is probably to work in person with an actual ballet teacher and do what they recommend.

What strength is the band?
Thanks so much love the vid
I have to buy the band. Please: what level of resistance should the elastic band be for ballet exercises? Light (red) or medium (green)?
Thanks❤
nice😀😀😀
Would this help someone with bad ankles become able to do pointe or does it just improve average feet?
