@@Fesmxa well I was excited, I trained for like a year and then I got injured (not because of ballet). I had to pause training for like 3 Months and didn't go on pointe after that. Currently I am gaining strength in my ankle back to go on pointe again. Training on pointe was so hard, but so fun! If you want to do that, work hard, you won't regret it :)
Tomorrow is my first class on point, im so happy but also, pretty nerveous. I started ballet when i was kinda 18 or maybe 19, today, im close for turning 25... its been very challenging years, but also, one of the best things of my life. I really love dance, since i started dancing i always dream to be on point, but now that the moment come im pretty nerveos ! haha how ironic. However, im gonna try my best ! and for that people outhere reading this thinking about start to dance when its "too late" just remember, is never late
It's never too late! My mother was in her late 40's when she started ballet classes and in her mid 50's when she finally got en pointe. It was a life long dream of hers to dance. Her family had no money for it in the 1940's and she married when she was still in high school (that's the 1950's for you!). So after raising kids, she finally got her chance. She worked hard, practiced every night in the kitchen, and looked beautiful in her first recital. Gosh, I miss my mom! I gave up dancing in my early 20's (i started at 6) and I never should have! The studio I danced at put their daughters and high paying clients front and center, ignoring hard workers who could only afford one or two classes a week. As a result, I got distracted with other things in life and left my first love behind - I am glad to see you going for it! Dancing IS life!
im 14 and, started two years ago, and ive seriously considered quitting because i just felt super behind because i started somewhat late, but then i got the go signal from my teacher!!! im so so excited and we're starting pointe classes this friday and i just got my first pair
Thank you for the expectations I am getting my pointe shoes this December and I am so excited I love watching your channel because I am now the most prepared I will ever be!
This is my third year on pointe and whenever I feel like quitting or giving up, or complain about my feet hurting my dance teacher always says “nobody ever said pointe would be easy.” And it’s true
Tomorrow is when I'm getting fitted for my first pair...And it's also my birthday tomorrow!!! I'm actually more excited about the pointe shoes than my birthday! lol
Ugh. Before I can go en pointe I have to move up to ballet three first. But I haven't been moved up yet and I am now considering dance schools because my dance school is holding me back from my dreams what do I do.
Not saying I am, I am just curious, do 11-13 year olds, younger dancers, going on pointe for the first time also need to sew their own pointe shoes? Edit: They are young, so they might not know how to, or might not be allowed by their parents to sew.
Victoria Mochkovsky you usually have to sew your own shoes but some people’s moms think it will be too hard and they do it for them. When we got our pointe shoes my teacher taught us how to do it and she says we have to do it by ourselves even if we are only 11
Teacher shows them how to do it the first time as a group, and then keeps an eye on each girl's shoes for many months to come. Teacher absolutely will tell them to resew their ribbons if they didn't do it right the first time. 11-13 year olds can and are expected to learn how to do it. Older girls in the studio can help them with advice and monitor them doing it. Teachers monitor too. They learn it without parents involved. I don't know why a parent would ever forbid their child from learning to sew. In ancient days, that's the main thing girls as young as age 5-7 learned to do. Sewing garments etc was a huge household chore you would be expected to help mother with, as soon as possible.
😔I don't have my pointe shoes yet, it's my dream to go on pointe, I started ballet a year ago and I'm 11, in grade 2 ballet. Do u think I might be ready for pre pointe in a year?
Pretty likely, If you want to get on pointe faster I would recommend doing some foot strength training exercises at home, I have been walking on my toes and using a resistance band to also get I pointe faster. I started dancing at 3 years old and danced until I was 12 (went on pointe when I was 11, no pre-pointe). Now I am 14 and have started taking ballet classes again and want to get on pointe within 6 months. I already have pretty strong feet and am very flexible
3 months ago I got my first pair❤ and then just last week I found out that I was accepted to the National school of the Arts😱😱😱😱😱😭😭😭 so I'm on my way to being a prima dancer
My dance teacher always says this when I get lazy on my pointe shoes: "The shoe doesn't hold you up- you hold the shoe up."
LOVE that

Lol

Madison Jay Stone in South Africa?
funny how i sewed my first pair of my pointe shoes the best
But my teacher gives it to like a person like who's been he for 1 year or up 😳
Can I take ballet classes once a week for three years and then get my first pair of pointe shoes? 🩰
Kashfia Islam oh my god 🤦🏼♀️
You'd need to take at least 3 classes per week for 3 years and be over the age of 11 to get en pointe.
Me who is already over the box on their first hour of pointe shoes:
(Also it's painful)
Can i go on a pointe shoes without ballet lessons
Badmaa E Unless you are naturally very strong and flexible, probably not.
You can wear pointe shoes but you won’t be able to dance in them
PLEASE DON'T. YOU COULD REALLY INJURE YOURSELF.
Definitely not
Badmaa E no
