Been waiting a while for this. No offence to the rest of you guys on GMBN, but who needs fancy cameras and a crew! Just give two guys a couple of GoPros, a drone, a tent, and some beautiful trails to shred, and you get the best 29 minutes of sunday viewing! Cannot wait till the next adventure.

Really good to see Coed Y Brenin getting some love on the channel! Ridden there since it first opened, really strange seeing trails I know so well on the channel, even the pub and campsite. Even had the bridge from my hometown featured on your journey up! Only problem is you've shown everyone one of my favourite bothies, guaranteed to be packed out every semi-decent weekend now. Pity you didn't mention how the place essentially started the UK Trail Centre phenomenon, that Orange trail is the original Red Bull trail from the 90's. The place is nearly 27 years old!! Glad you enjoyed it, more of this please.

Mid Winter Mountain biking with your lill brother in the Welsh mountains. There are good things in life. This is one of them.
Reminds me when I did some bikepacking up there in the summer. Rode from south wales to the coast then back home to Cheshire. Stayed in a few bothies inc. that one. That bothy was not a good experience as a group of 10 turned up at midnight, partied, then finally went to bed around 2.30 am. Later I thought perhaps I should have joined them, as no chance of sleep! They seemed quite nice people when I met them in the morning. It was a Friday night, and that bothy is not too far from civilisation compared to the others. Was an awesome trip. Got to ride the red while I was there. On my final day which was the best I rode over 120 miles and 7000 feet. Went from that bothy to Lake Bala, then home to warrington. Epic scenery! Never forget it.
So much great mountain biking in Snowdonia, it's an absolute gem. Coed Y Brenin, Coed Llandegla, Antur Stiniog, the Marin trail, Snowdon itself, all awesome. Just don't tell anyone.

Little lesson there about not having any cash on you, always carry a bit. In the event of an emergency such as a major mechanical (blown rim for example) giving someone a bit of gas money for taking you back to your starting point is a good gesture. Possibly getting some food at an out of the way place. I have come across small convenient stores who don't take credit cards and luckily I had cash. As in Blake's case, paying an unexpected fee/toll.
Another thing I've found is the new plastic fivers and tenners you can just leave the emergency cash in a zip pocket in your shorts or jersey and they can go thru the washing machine as many times as you like!
The camera work that went into this video is amazing!!! All the cool scene transitions make the flow super epic 😀 epic riding guys!!
The filmmaking job done here is worth some documentary movie award, let alone a better review than my gasps of enthusiasm!

@@alasdairbachmtb273 I live here too. It's gone to over crowded now. I can't place some of the places where they are. Some of the hills look too low.
Enjoyable watch. Great idea to tour the MTB hotspots in the UK.
A series touring would be great. Peak District, Lakes and trail centres like Dalby Forest and Gisburn would be really interesting to see.
If you do the Lakes a canoe would be better..... it's been raining since September.
This is 1:1 what I have my MTB for.
I ride around, and search for stuff to ride. Sometimes I plan ahead, sometimes I just go where my bike takes me.
Riding is the best thing in the world for me!

I love these videos, they've really inspired me to get back into mountain biking again as I've only been cycling 30 Km per day to and from work on a road bike for the last 17 years. As I've had to work from home for the last three months due to this COVID-19 issue I bought a new MBT a couple of weeks ago and I'm absolutely loving it. The forest is only 15 minutes away from my house and it's full of great trails including really nice flow trails.

You captured the spirit of UK Mountain Biking so well. Adventure and discovery on the wild trails, then followed up by trail centre ride. But it's always the wild rides that make the stories you'll be telling for the rest of your life.
Think this needs to be done at least every quarter. Fair play for all the effort put in to the cinematography side of this too. Looks great. Easily the best vlog done by GMBN 🔥🤘🏻

I don't envy you brits(and zimbawians :D ) for being in british winter. HEre in Slovenia we have 1/2 meter of snow in the mountains and snow acts as an insulator, so it is not as cold as if it would be without snow. Great video guys, love it!

I suggest that you insert a little map with GPS route.
Bike scarf saves you from losing heat. You lose so much heat from neck area.

Great idea, bit more effort to cut into the video, but a little map added in "post production" or occasionally switching to a map with a position on it during the vid would be great.

First of all where on earth do you live, southern hemisphere i suppose? Australia ?Secondly do you manage to ride during the day or are you forced to ride in the early morning and at night
ADP if his talking Degrees celcius, then he means Australia cuz it does get to like 44 degrees celcius and so people go riding in the arvo or early in the morning

I think, it is one of Fjallraven's hiking trousers (Barenst Pro maybe), but not sure.

if you have never been to coed y brenin would recomend, even if it takesa while to get there and you have to stay overnight, its a great bike place

@@Hazeder422 That bothy is not too far. Park in the car park and ride up with your sleeping bags and air matress. I stayed in there one night. Got some ppl arriving late though, did not go sleep until 3am when they finally settled down. But all good.

Just getting back into cycling, after a 12 year absence from it, and this sort of stuff is giving me great encouragement, and inspiration to DO more and SEE more.
Snowdonia is now on my bucket list, along with the Lake District. Done the lakes by Motorbike, but never by MTB. Also a really beautiful area. We are blessed in the UK, to have so much diverse scenery. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. 🇬🇧👍👍
