- A fringe group of Super Mario Maker players dubbed Team 0% were able to complete every level in the game, here's how they did it. With all of the jank, crazy developments, and heralding heights that come with it.

It’s poetic that the final uncleared level is a level that’s truly uncleared, its own creator hasn’t even cleared it.
Trimming the herbs is truly the hardest agriculture thing.

Remember the kid who beat Tetris?
I think that kid’s completion of Tetris and TTH’s completion are similar.
Both were never needed to be done, never meant to be humanly possible, but many decided to do it because they could, with only one finally winning, whether by crashing Tetris or beating a botted level in Mario Maker.
It really is crazy to think how there could one day be a super Mario maker 3 and then Nintendo would do the same thing to Mario maker 2 and then imagine how many people would try to beat every Mario maker 2 level
We're already on mm2 lol. All 2019 levels have been cleared already and there are only 260k left for 2020-2022. We at Team 0% are getting a headstart for when nintendo eventually decides to shutdown mm2 aswell

As a member of many Maker teams and having cleared some levels for Team 0% before it got popular, I’m happy to see videos like this come out. Videos like these are such a breath of fresh air to look into niche communities, and Mario Maker barely gets talked about. Amazing video ❤
Despite my day starting at 5:45 am, I couldn’t help but watch this all the way through at 1 am (technically the next day) like a little goofball. Amazing job.
This video had me in tears at the end. By the time I first started playing Mario Maker, I didn’t have access to the Internet, and all of my levels at this point are probably lost to time and I’ll probably never get to play them again, but the memories that this game gave me as well as the Wii U in general are memories that I am going to miss. Memories of simpler times days where you didn’t have to worry about your mental health or whether or not you were worth anything, just days where you’d enjoy life and play games that you loved. Thank you to everyone who helped make the 0% possible, it’s kind of poetic that Trim the Herbs was beaten on my birthday. Rest in peace Wii U and 3DS, 2011 - 2024.

Finally got the chance to watch this vid and man it was great. The editing was amazing, the line delivery was on point and made the topic more interesting and enthralling to learn about, everything came together so well, and the way the ending got so dramaztized, it got me goosebumps. This is definitely one of my favorite T3rr0r videos and its a shame that tts not doing that well in views compared to his other ones. Maybe it might be like an "Evil Supermen" situation where the vid takes a few weeks before it starts doing better, idk. Keep up the great work man, this high quality video is one of the reasons youve become one of my favorite youtubers in the past year or so, keep up the great work!
(Also, shoutouts to Team 0% as well, they are the goats for achieving such a seemingly impossible task, espically after beating those last 10-11 levels. Hope their task of clearing every single SMM2 level goes well)

well, considering every living soul playing SMM1 wanted slopes, yeah. It made me scream, it made the entire community scream. Still loved all the SMM2 announcement trailer as most of the time people would hyperfocus on exactly the slopes

This video is a really good look though the history of the 0% goal, but dropping Tarkus near the end was the biggest whiplash I've ever had watching any yt documentary!

Its wholesome to think that a level created by an unknown creator was getting recognition years after. The Team 0% took the "Everyone has a second chance" to another level.
I Read a couple article titles about this when the final bit was happening and never knew that there was a whole backstory to the journey, amazing.

The precision levels are cool for spectation, but I can only imagine they are intense for playthrough.

i never got to upload my levels, i never got the course maker thing working (my mum wouldnt buy it, i understand why now) but to think that every single level has been beaten just astonishes me. Congrats 0%! You are legends!

And look at what it helped do! This is why I am learning how to program!
Was the api necessary? Absolutely not. People were compiling lists, passing on difficult unclreared levels to their favourite streamers. Everything was fine.
What it did was make things easier, and with that it made everything more fun for everyone! And I don't play, I don't have a Wii U, I just watch and enjoy, and even I benefit from that one little api that I have never seen or used.
It made it so that more people were attracted to the task who would previously be held back by the effort/challenge to find uncleared levels and. It changed the community interaction from being mostly in the finding of uncleared levels and sharing them, to community interaction in actually playing and clearing the levels and sharing that!
And that one little api made a ton of difference without ever being on the foreground. I love that! I want to program things that are just useful for relatively small things that make everyone happier if it's automated.
And I want to know the machine language of the C64 so I can just talk to it and make an interactive 3D demo, Brocoli 007 style.
I love this community, so, so much.

As someone who participated in this absolutely massive quest, this was one of two uses for my Wii U and I don’t regret it
I will probably be playing the original MARIOKART 8 before the servers shut down. Whilst I didn’t clear any super hard levels I still helped by getting first clears on new uploads when you could still upload.
T3rr0r never fails to make great videos, and great job to Team 0% for completing what was thought to be an unbeatable game!
Every single video you upload is better than the last, shame that the content farms are more popular than actual cinematic masterpieces like this.

I'll be honest, I cried when TTH was officially cleared. Yes, it was technically not required by T0%'s rules, but to me, TTH is the *final* clear of Super Mario Maker.

When I heard about team 0% I pulled out my 3ds version of it (I'm not great, but I could clear the basic levels that were just taking up time). I quickly realized I wouldn't be able to directly help clear levels since that version didn't allow me to find levels through a code, but hopefully I got some uncleared levels in the 100 mario challenge through sheer random chance.
The combination of Mario Maker and the Video Essay format might make this the best UA-cam video of all time.
Such a great story... That even really make me realize, that games are just piece of art in good hands and no game should be forgotten. Good or bad, still part of a art.
Man I absolutely cant wait for Team 0% to beat all of Mario Maker 2. And then T3rr0r will make an entertaining video about it.

4 years ago I made a fairly hard level and got tons of notifications that people were playing it a few months ago. Now I know why.
One of the best completions on gaming history, it's very difficult to balance difficulty on a whole different game though. The part that they had barely any time to complete nearly impossible inhuman obstacle is something that is INHUMAN. It makes it even more cinametic that there was barely any time. Inhumanly difficult stuff can take months to beat, like CoIV in... Roblox. They truly edged the time within this completion.
