i have to smile too... it helped me a lot when i started doing it little more consciously and gave myself a little reason behind it so it wasn't just an empty smile... for example i work as a cashier and when i see a lady with pretty dress i smile because i like them. It helps because when they see you smiling they change their facial expressions too. Or I'm trying to think about something little that makes me smile. It might seem like I'm trying to be forcely happy and smily all day (trust me I'm not smiling all the time, just when I'm looking at people and when they're looking back) but it gets little better when you start to hate your job a bit less
