Colouring a Thomas Kinkade Disney Page with 200 Pencils! Luminance & Lightfast Entire Sets.

- In today's video I wanted to colour in a picture from the Thomas Kinkade Disney colouring book. This is the poster version, so the pages can be removed easily. It's a gorgeous book with all of the paintings at the back, so I really wanted to try and recreate one of them using coloured pencils. Because it would be far too "easy" to just use any pencils, I gave myself the added challenge of using all 200 pencils from the Caran d'Ache Luminance and Derwent Lightfast range. Each set has 100 pencils and I'd reviewed them all in a few of my previous videos, so this is the fourth video in a Quadrilogy of videos. I don't think quadrilogy is an actual word, but it should be, haha!

That coloring book looks fabulous, but I agree I would get tired out with all the little detail too. I like how it came out though, I can't believe you managed to use every color in there! :)
Ahhh it was such a struggle near the end; I had to dig deep to finish. Satisfying though once it was done! But definitely time for a break from pencils, lol.

I’m loving this pencil series, I can imagine how tedious some parts of these videos were to make though😂 the show white picture turned out beautiful and what a fun challenge to use all 200 colors😱 when you said “it’s done, I can’t do anymore” I have never related to a statement more in my life😂
Haha yes this one almost beat me, I was sooo tired about 3/4 of the way through! But I was determined to finish it in time for today. My wrist is sore so I will be taking a break from pencils for a while. Back to painting which is much more gentle, lol. Thank you 😊
Its absolutely beautiful. I love this book but it intimidates me so much lol. The pencils however....Id give my eye teeth to get the luminance ones. However.... maybe someday. Incredible job!

Put your beloved pencils in a zippered case my Love .They are easier to handle and the cases are good to protect them. Plus the are easier to take with you anywhere. There are so many beautiful designs to pick from, you just have to figure out how many pencils you wont in your case. Do not forget the extra tools also like ; blenders erasers gel pens etc. You wont all the tools you need in one place with your beloved pencils so you do not have to dig them out from some where else. There are pencil cases that will hold 500 pencils and it you do not wont to carry all of them you can use the extra pages to put two coloring books between the four pages. I found this works really well for when you wont to travel with your pencils, supplies and coloring books then you are all set. Love Terri Simmers. Tell me how it works for you Coloring Sister.

Wow! All in one sitting. I think I would have broken it up over several days... I don't have this book yet, tho'... Someday maybe?
Oh definitely not in one sitting, it was over a few days, and the last one was the most difficult as I was hurting by then. 15 hours all up I think 😵. Of course when all the clips are stitched together it looks seamless like I did it all at once. 😂
I know the 15 hours were absolutely exhausting, but can I say they absolutely paid off. I normally dislike the Dosney Kinkade books, thought they were far too complex with all those black lines. But...you just made the lines and colour work together! Well done.

Thank you! I've seen other videos where people were unsuccessfully trying to hide the lines so I figured I'd just leave them as is and let them stay as part of the picture. A wise decision I think! 😂
Astonishing! 200 pencils used over 15 hours to complete extremely detail and intricate work of art. I'm flabbergasted as to how to responsed to such dedication. Needless to say the finish rendering is beautiful but I doubt I'll ever attempt this feat. Soooo..... what will you do to surpass this?💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Thank you! I am not much into modern Disney, but I do have nostalgic feelings for the older ones from my childhood and I took a liking to that book because of its complex illustrations. I can't quite believe that it's been 14 years, lol.

One of the most intimidating books ever due to the sheer size. I could never do this.
It takes a long time! But with the reference pictures included, it makes things a bit easier.

I don't think I've got any other colouring books with this particular paper, though the Johanna Basford ones usually have a nice (but cream coloured) paper. And thank you, that's very sweet. I'm sure your colouring page is lovely too!
