The only real solution is using public transport, like European countries, and charging some green tax from ICE/EV owners. Similar problem is with air conditioning. Using them is like adding fuel to fire and destroying the earth. Coal energy pollutes the environment and the electricity produced used in AC's again releases greenhouse gases that further warms the earth and make our life hell. Sadly worlds most developed countries are the ones that have highest carbon footprint. It's time to work on minimising, reusing and recycling.
Nice way to present it. Can you please advice 1) How environment friendly are crude oil extraction process and the total process from extraction of crude oil to the time it is ready to be fueled petrol at a gas station 2) Do you have any other alternative to ICE vehicles which can be considered as a future instead of EV's - This is because Crude Oil won't exist forever and a shift will be required which needs to be started now to make sure its in force in years to come
@@saurabhchaudhari3002 Yes but that is yet to be proven safe. And its very very expensive. Also, it is kind of difficult to implement in 2 wheelers which is major chunk of Indian road traffic
Crude Oil is extracted by big global brands so there is no scope of Human Right Violation. The process is as refined as it can be because it is done legally at a very large scale. Oil is also transported through pipelines which don't require diesel. EV is just another option. The only way of decreasing pollution in Transport sector is by developing CARFREE INFRASTRUCTURE. @@AskYourFriend Exactly. But the petrol and diesel reservoirs are limited so that's why we have to look for an alternative and now the only alternative is battery
Oil rigs alao run by burning petroleum. Oil is then shipped regularly through diesel ships. Oil refineries also pollutes on their own. Then oil tankers which bring petrol/diesel to petrol pumps also pollute. So it's not only vehicles polluting in the cities but also the whole oil supply chain
My calculation is I will buy my first car with ICE engine and use it for atleast 4 to 5 years and then I will move forward to EVs and I assume by the time I prepare for buying an EV there would be much improved EV charging infrastructure, EV cars being made using renewable energy sources and also the electricity produced are more from renewable sources. Mix of all the alternative solutions have to work - EV, H2O2, Solid state, etc. Plus lot of public transport utilization. For now i think, each car should be accompanied by a solar panel setup to charge it. Even if the cost goes higher but we can't affort a pollution making unit and sell it for the name of green.

Let's assume battery prices are going down every year. But electricity charges will keep on increasing & so would be the cost of charging. Plus you would be paying atleast 35-40% more for buying an EV over Petrol/Diesal Cars. Eg. Petrol Car cost ₹10 lacs, same EV Car will cost you ₹14 lacs. Considering Petrol car gives you 14-15 kms/litre. So for 1 lac kms. it would cost 6 lacs. Also got to consider electricity Unit charges for Battery Charging per KW, battery cells & complete replacement costs. Kan idhar se pakdo yah udhar se 1 lac kms cost toh same aayega.
