I disagree with how lightly Pete described what JS did. He wasn't just a young teen breaking into a construction site on a dare or being a goofy boy playing music too loud. he was intentionally making locals feel uncomfortable and harassed with a LIVE audience of thousands being influenced. We can see that alone when he was punched by strangers. He isnt just a kid having a lark.
Agreed the kid did illegal things . And deported on a tourist visa is normal for all countries 😂. If he was a permanent citizen or work visa maybe more thought should go into it.

Back then, I spoke no Japanese and was single. The next time I was able to visit Japan again was 2023, and I made a triumphant return, married and fairly fluent in Japanese. Last Oct, I surprised my wife for her birthday with this trip to Japan. One of the places we visited was the beautiful township of Yanagawa. We had incredible unagi and went on a beautiful canal tour. The highlight for me, though, was when I saw a sign in English for a bar saying, "blow a new wind, in Yanagawan bar". Gosh when we lived in Japan for 3 years we encounter many, many roaches/centipedes/mukade. Wife woke up to one on her pillow at least twice. It all depends on where you live. Lived in an old house that was on the outer suburb of a city and bugs were everywhere. Also a few of those huge hunting spiders too. Food wise only had one encounter of a bug in food, it just happened to be in a bowl of ramen from ramen place on the 8th floor of a mall. Was not a fun experience. Tourists beware, the creepy crawlies are alive and well in a lot of Japan.
the only time i've encountered bugs so far is during summer when roaches would crawl outside, other than that no. i live in the suburban area outside of a small city in Kanagawa so there's that
Bugs are endemic in Hawaii, too. The wisdom there is that if you are above the seventh floor, you are much, much less likely to encounter them in your sleeping quarters.

When traveling to another country you have to take responsibility for understanding local laws, some of the things JS did were illegal so its only right that he be punished under the law. Its his own fault for broadcasting his illegal activities to the world!
Hello there. I am a fan of AIJ for a half decade now and love it. I wanted to give some feedback for the podcast format, as its kind of jarring for me to watch it. First I feel that you seem sitting on a bar stool that makes you look uncomfortable and hard to watch, while that BG and setup is nice. Great camera quality. Secondly who is your co-host, Pit Dawson? Where are his links firstly? Next is his camera angle looks like he is very short and not even with you on eye level. I also think that instead changing the active camera use dual screen setup. Cause then we can see the expressions of both of you while the other speaks his bit. I have couple podcast examples like Wine About it! with Maya and QT. It seems that Pit is a side piece while you ramble on topics that might be more interesting but that's opinionated and will surely evolve later. That's just my view of the podcast. Love and all the best!
[QUESTION] Chris I was wondering do you still keep up with your old friends and if so what are they up to. I was rewatching your old videos and was curious to know how George and Roy are doing?
I'm glad my fav UA-camrs in Japan all seem to like Seattle, maybe I'll be able to see y'all at an event or something. 😂 Trash Taste can drag Chris & Ludwig along. 💥
Chris' Ace of Bass moment was so precious! Also, I get Sharla's annoyance with his mispronunciation of "miso". I sometimes entertain my friends with "extreme American" Japanese speech -- here in the states, for some reason many people can't pronounce "tempura" or "sake" -- but a lot of these same folks also say "nukular" in place of "nuclear". Maybe it's to do with the vowels...
Oh Chris, love ya and will always watch, but as someone who just put probably the same amount of cash into FIXING my car as you paid to buy a new one, only for the transmission to completely die on me a month later… shut up about the scratch on your car 😂
Pete is really lacking the understanding of how malicious JS was doing things. He was actively doing it maliciously and getting money for it. It only worked because Japan is a culture of not being a bother. He abused that and doesnt deserve to be allowed back to the country.
I love this podcast. I have listened to it since it started. So I'm not a hater. But i have to say this. Pete, Stop interrupting!!! its so annoying 😂😂 its getting worse every week 😂😂 you literally just carry on until Chris gives up 😅
Had encountered huntsman spider 3 times in rather rural areas of Japan, inside house. First time was in residencial farmhouse building where I did not live so avoided. Second time in fostel I worked in, used cryo spray on it to immobilize, then colleague threw it out (was terrifying as it had to be sprayed continuously for some 3 seconds, but it runs really fast). Third time in old residencial house, room I lived it for 2 weeks - I did not sleep well there afterwards. Housemate broomed it out. Oh and then I encountered it at toilet multiple times until it moved closer inside room - then I used neurotoxin anti bug spray that after some spraying killed it. Never encountered giant centipede or hornet though.
Evertime I hear that Boot Brand, "Wellington". I picture "Brown Leather Riding Calvary Boots" from the Napoleanic War's...Chris dressed like the Duke of Wellington & Ryotoro like Napolean Bonaparte ! Hee, Hee, Hee !

Wait.. the Gum Wall? Is that what you remember about Seattle? Oh no! That's not what we want to be known for. :( Didn't you at least notice the unique architecture, and that huge aquarium on the harbor, and the weird stilt building in the background that lets you see the pseudo-spiders on the building down below? Come on! We have so much to be proud of here other than a gum wall!
He absolutely should have been deported. If you are a guest in a country, you need to be respectful of that country and follow the country's laws. Japan should have fined him even more and told him he could never come back. Japan is too easy on foreigners.
The reason other people doing similar shit as JS had nothing done to them is they didn't stream their twattery online as evidence for the cops. Probably some streamers/youtubers got away with some stuff but probably didn't continue over a long period.
Chris I learnt Japanese 40 years ago and pronounce miso the way you do and no one in 4 years of living there plus multiple trips as a visitor ever corrected me. I think Sharla is wrong.
There was a family of tourists from the UK that visited New Zealand in 2019 and were just being pricks the entire time annoying the locals and not paying for restaurant food. They were deported for theft if I remember. Many years ago the team from Jackass also went to Japan and did something similar. It's been two decades since I watched the movie, but it wouldn't have been pleasant for the locals and probably acted as a catalyst for the modern influencer.
To all the people saying the excuse of if JS had been in any other country… Different countries, different cultures and differ laws. It’s on the tourist to heck before they visit and to behave accordingly. Just like how it’s legal to smoke cannabis in Amsterdam but you wouldn’t try that in the Middle East or most parts of Asia. It’s basic moon sense. Oh but I can do it back home won’t fly as a legal defence. Hell, I don’t wear outdoor shoes inside my home and I won’t allow my guests to do so either because it’s my house, my rules! End of!

Pete looks more and more like a wrestling color commentator every episode. I salute you, mr donaldson!
Yeah the gum wall is pretty gross but pike place market is pretty fun to walk through at least once.
[QUESTION] Chris I was wondering do you still keep up with your old friends and if so what are they up to. I was rewatching your old videos and was curious to know how George and Roy are doing?
I think the car import saga is interesting as I am thinking of getting a K-van or car ...
Is Chris getting fatter???
Is this where I order the fish and chip?
I'm glad my fav UA-camrs in Japan all seem to like Seattle, maybe I'll be able to see y'all at an event or something. 😂 Trash Taste can drag Chris & Ludwig along. 💥
I wish pete wouldnt keep interrupting and cutting off chris speaking. Hes always doing it! This is a podcast not live radio!
Oh Chris, love ya and will always watch, but as someone who just put probably the same amount of cash into FIXING my car as you paid to buy a new one, only for the transmission to completely die on me a month later… shut up about the scratch on your car 😂
he tends to be a bit wingey about things sometimes, give it a rest chris
Pete is really lacking the understanding of how malicious JS was doing things. He was actively doing it maliciously and getting money for it. It only worked because Japan is a culture of not being a bother. He abused that and doesnt deserve to be allowed back to the country.
Finally! I know the Petestory!
Pleaseeeeee post a video of Pete driving the car
There’s a spelling error for ‘been’ in the description
Pete is making himself sound like a knob in this one
THANK YOU GOD!! I wish that Johnny would be banned from allllll platforms and has to work a non media job preferably away from the public....
Sewage Pipe Relocation Assistant
Girl chill...
The Abroad Automobile is so Cute, I Really hope it came from the North okay 🗾🚙
Nope pulling tips is not a thing door dashers are contract employees so the tip is part of the contract even if I eat your food I keep the money but then I can never deliver again theoretically
Jonny Somali is a good arguement for social credit scores. his anti social behaviour should mean he lives a difficult life. unable to travel . unable to request loans. a life of hard labor.
I laughed so hard at the monorail comment 😂 crying
I always wonder what Chris Abroad will do if he ever encountered Johnny Somali in Japan doing funny things.
Somali is going to try his luck in Southeast Asia and there his luck will run out.
Wait.. the Gum Wall? Is that what you remember about Seattle? Oh no! That's not what we want to be known for. :(
Didn't you at least notice the unique architecture, and that huge aquarium on the harbor, and the weird stilt building in the background that lets you see the pseudo-spiders on the building down below?
Weak Men create hard times.
I hope Ryotaro watches that episode
Chris I learnt Japanese 40 years ago and pronounce miso the way you do and no one in 4 years of living there plus multiple trips as a visitor ever corrected me. I think Sharla is wrong.
lmao "buggered by mukade"
Has Pete took a Time machine back 50 yrs with that Suit blazer colour..? Is Pete Colour Blind or something🤣
Considering posting behaviour like this online is on the rise there should be steeper penalties to curtail it.
Pete:You can call a car locksmith to make you a master key. Cheaper as a new key from the dealer
Is Chris getting fatter???
he'll prolly make all that back pretty fast cuz of everyone is giving him what he wanted in the first place. attention . keep giving him that 👍 /s
Is the floating train a maglev?
No, it’s older technology. Japan’s first maglev is to open in 2027.
End of!
Just replace the damn windscreen :D
With my car insurance in America I can get the windscreen replaced for 50 American Freedom units
Bait all these streamers to Thailand to insult the king, there's no way they'll get away with it.
Should of been 2 million yen and a 1 on 1 sword duel with a Samurai
Uhhh the Gum Wall at the Pike Place Market. Funny thing they cleaned that wall like 10 years ago.
In england you can get arrested for saying politically incorrect things on the internet but not for causing a legitimate public disturbance and trespassing?
I cant watch you guys, can you just tell me what time to skip to, to get the info in the title? This is bs bro 😂
In the U.S. we just pronounce miso correctly lol. Like Mazda. And most foreign words much better than in the U.K. Love y’all, tho lol
Toyota.. seems like new master key + door locks changed..
they needed to add 3 more zeros to his fine.
Also.... Chris I think its time for a Haircut lol
If only Japan had a Carglass. They'd fix those scratches right up.
The joke is on you because it has.
@ look above you - there is a comment going over your head!
chris i was in a squat for 2 years then i stood up
Why is pink jacket man's chair so crooked?
A necessary evil, huh? It is nice having a bit of context for Pete's existence.
The guy that you are not naming also went up to women to threaten to R them and then up to men and threaten to unalive them.
Pete is a terrible human being for calling out premiere two like that. Also Chris, you’re a coward for letting it happen for everything he has done for you. #dogs
Didn't catch it. When?
I just googled whats happening with the fox village. Thats horrible. I hope people stop going and the animals get taken care of properly. Definelty do not goto fox village.
He's still in jail AFAIK. I think he will get sent to a mental hospital for several months. Japan love their psychiatry business.
Does Somali’s audience want an apology tour? Nope. They want more of the same.
