It isn’t possible to count the times I have listened to this song throughout the years. I mean REALLY listened. To me , this masterpiece is a love song to ALL of Humanity. It is a TRUE heart song that flows through all who hear it. To me, it is supernatural in every way . He didn’t disappoint. I would love to see him live. I would probably be in tears the whole time but to feel that energy radiating from Geoff as he sings this song live would be priceless. Pure clarity❤

HOLY SH@T!!! My father passed away on 07/30/2023 & HOLY GOOSEBUMPS!!!!
My dad sang this song to since forever. I'll never forget the night, 01/25-ish/2005 I took my dad to the Queensryche at the Reave & Eagle ballroom in Milwaukee, WI & THAT LOOK HE GAVE ME as Geoff, you, Geoff was introducing this song & after the show I worked My magic, we met the band, got the guitarists phone# & he invited to his house here, was at that time, here in Wisconsin.. I was talking to my big brother & out of no where I asked my brother, "Can make one request, can we play SILENT LUCIDITY as one of his songs?"
My brother replied, "Shit. Yeah everyone has been putting songs requests...even if we have time to play 2..3, nope yep, if we have enough time for 1 song, yep that's it. SILENT LUCIDITY!!"
WE ENOUGH TIME FOR ONE SONG..THIS SING!!
And for the first in my entire 35 yrs of life, I had the self confidence within myself to get up in front of everyone when asked if anyone had any finally words, no 2nd guessing myself, no overthrowing, DAMMIT I GOT UP THERE FOR MY DAD, SPOKE FROM THE HEART❤, I made it short, sweet and simple, I don't remember what I all said, I do remember, word-for-word, "HE'LL BE HERE LYING NEXT TO US IN SILENT LUCIDITY." as I was walking back to my seat, I heard a familiar little voice over the mic, mind u my is turned towards the podium and as I was plopping my ass in the chair, I look up and that little voice..YEAH IT WAS MY BOY!!!
    HOLY FUCKING GOOSEBUMPS ❤❤❤
Geoff, that night in back in 2005, the roadies said u were tired, we met the rest of the band, I
GEOFF THANK U ❤❤ FOR THIS SONG ❤
Silent LUCIDITY has ALWAYS ALWAYS WILL HOLD A SPECIAL PLACE IN MY HEART, IN MY DAD'S HEART, AND I'M INSTILLING INTO MY SON'S HEART SO THEY CAN PASS ALONG TO THEIR KIDS, AND SO ON AND SO ON ❤❤❤
Thank you for this song. I hope one day, I can shake your hand & properly thank you in person for THIS SONG, GEOFF'S SONG, YOUR SONG, MY SONG, MY FAMILIES SONG ❤❤❤ IT means so much to me & my dad, and my family that if I keep going on this comment u might think I'm crazy...well a bit crazy 😂 good crazy 😊 just saying the timing of this,...

My nephew was killed by a train when he was 17, he introduced me to Qweensrych. This was one of his favorites, we played it at his funeral.😢

I met your whole band when I was staying at a hotel in Athens… We were sitting next to each other at like 7 AM in the breakfast area, and we were both hung over, but it was fun to chat with you guys about music and different musicians, and it was so nice to see how down the Earth you all were, despite the amazing talent!

I’m sad after watching this. I’ve seen QR many times in Abq, NM (big support region).
I wouldn’t want to hang with this guy, even though I am happy we have the same paunch.
I literally just sent the original video of this song 2 days ago to a newcomer. Dang it Geoff.

Not a fan of putting the drums behind glass!!; WTF

    • @shangclockmania6168

      Maybe a spit protection.
You know, Geoff Tate can go crazy within a spit second.
Joke aside, it sounds dead. The whole energy, completely swallowed by the glass.
      What a stupid idea.
      There's just three possibilities:
The band members are either deaf and completely convinced that it would improve their live sound
or the drummer was recently attacked by people in the audience.
OR: The drummer was recently attacked/spat at by Geoff Tate and that joke unknowingly was the truth :D
