My twin brother, who is battling cancer, turned me on to this song a few years ago. This is my favorite song of theirs. It is such a beautiful song with a beautiful acoustic melody, a beautiful voice singing the lyrics of deep and compassionate sentiment, a song that really makes you think about a loved one. I listen to this song a lot, I love this song!

The first time I heard this song, I had just gotten on the freeway after an intense counseling session. I attended "secret" meetings to help me leave my abusive husband; I was bawling so hard I shouldn't have been driving. This song was definitely a turning point in my life and had to run to the media store to get the CD. Thank you Geoffrey & Queensryche

Did you have to borrow a "Pin", for to write a Check, at the Media Store, before you "Split." "Strike" one, for me. It says "bawling." I thought it said "bowling." Sorry. Happy New Year.

OMG what's with the negative comments? I first heard this song on my first date. I was waiting for him to get ready and he put the stereo on for me. This song came on. it was the 1st date of the man I would marry. He passed away and this song brings my daughter and I to tears because of the lyrics. It's like he's still here telling us not to worry about anything because just as when he was alive, he's still here KEKprotecting us. This is my favorite song of all 54 years of life. Thank you QUEENSRYKE for Makin this beautiful, meaningfull song.

Ive lost both parents, dad in 06 and my mum in 2017, there were so many things left unsaid and unresolved, which consciously still affects me to this day - this song helps me come to an understanding I will always have an underlying connection with them, and be able to have the resolutions i never had when they were alive, if not always consciously present , they will always be there for me in spirit, in my slient lucidity

Absolutely love this song. My interpretation of the song is the passing of one's life. Being greeted by God, past family members and friends on the other side after our physical earthly bodies expire. It's a haunting and beautiful song that speaks this to me.

I so much disagree with the negative comments! Imagine if you were revisiting a song that you had sung thousands of times in your life? Plus the fact that it is loved so much by all the fans...he is obviously into it, but not in a negative way. It seems more like he is really enjoying the spirit of the song.

A few friends of mine were driving from Cleveland Oklahoma to Tulsa at 2am
We were doing 110mph on an open road when a car came, out of nowhere and pulled in from of us, put on their breaks and we swerved to miss him, we slammed into a cement divider crossed over 2 lanes hit another divider crossed back and back again, the verse I'll be watching over you was the last thing I heard when I was knocked out and the fist thing I heard when I can to, the car caught fire and the radio died
My 2 friends were knocked unconscious and badly hurt, I didn't have a scratch on me
I had the strength to get out of the car and get them out, drag them to the back of the car to safety
A preacher man stopped and helped!!!
    This song saved my life
