Fully agree, the s5ii is a ridiculous deal. It beats the a7iv and r6ii for being a generalist video/photo camera at $2000 - but then it was on sale for $1600 for black Friday. That's like barely more than the r8 which doesnt have ibis, only one card slot, bad battery life, record limits, etc. and that camera is considered a "great value." The only reason the s5ii isnt the "it" camera of our time is just the brand recognition isnt there yet. Liked your tip for using focus peaking even on AF - im going to go set mine to that now.
Your b rolls gives me a mid west Chicago vibes. looks like you could make a dope urban film in your area. I just posted some anamorphic shots from this camera, I love it...
Yeah this is a really good camera. My only real issue coming from Canon, is the slow start up time, but other than that it's fantastic. The Lumix S prime lenses are nice and compact as well
Yes, to what @Peterschmidt4940 mentioned the 1st power up is a full boot-up mode from 'battery preservation' state. After the initial power up (especially after the latest firmware update it powers on instantly. It doesn't go back into battery saving mode unless you leave it powered off maybe 2 hours or so. maybe over 1 hour, but it seems like 2 hours in my experience.
I have had a decebt time using that option, I'll have to dive into it more. I personally have been using 1-area or zone. How long have you had the S5II for?
I hope you guys enjoy the video!

Yea Boston has some varying locations. Definitely a great camera however, I'll have to check that out

It is only the first start up which is slow. Second, third and so on are very quick. And this holds on for hours.

Full area is the best imo
