I am assuming that realtime audio will give you a direct monitor feed of the audio without latency. Latecy is brought in by audio and video processing and you will hear an noticeable delay. Lets say you were playing a musical instrument and monitoring audio. A delay would throw you off.

Fully agree, the s5ii is a ridiculous deal. It beats the a7iv and r6ii for being a generalist video/photo camera at $2000 - but then it was on sale for $1600 for black Friday. That's like barely more than the r8 which doesnt have ibis, only one card slot, bad battery life, record limits, etc. and that camera is considered a "great value." The only reason the s5ii isnt the "it" camera of our time is just the brand recognition isnt there yet. Liked your tip for using focus peaking even on AF - im going to go set mine to that now.

Yeah this is a really good camera. My only real issue coming from Canon, is the slow start up time, but other than that it's fantastic. The Lumix S prime lenses are nice and compact as well
