The tool tray screw is a set screw and is screwed into contact with the tub. It does not go through the height holes! Never clamp the frame of a bike. You have to use a seat post. Clamping the frame will destroy it.
If you purchase the actual park tool base it has 4 pre drilled holes. In my scenario I purchased a steel plate and had to drill the 4 holes. The steel plate was less than $100 compared to park tools currently priced around $270.
The screw for the tool tray shouldn’t go into one of the holes of the tube. You should put the tray wherever you want it and then tighten the screw against the tube. Hope this will help you get a more stable tool tray.

@@henrikhedberg5922 50.8 and 44.5 for the poles that attach to the base. I used a digital caliper which mentions + - 1 mm. If you need any other measurements let me know.
