And plus, for some people the adult industry is their only way to make money; you never know someone's situation, so banning the adult industry would probably cause a lot of suffering for the people who work in it and those who rely on an adult job for an income. And if people enjoy working in the industry then there's no reason to take that away from them. If you don't like pizza, it's not fair to ban the pizza industry. This is no different

I’d like to see an interview with a Japanese and American AV performers comparing similarities and differences in the Adult film industry. Like Shibuya Kaho and Violet Myers interviewing each other about Japanese and American AV
This exists already though not with that pairing. I feel like everyone's opinion of their industry will be so different either way so it'll always be interesting to hear.

Honestly wish people in the industry had a union that paid them residuals like any other actors. No one wants to be open and honest about it, but more people watch these videos than most movies and it's obviously a lucrative market. I hope industry long staying stars are able to make some headway into making it more fair for themselves and other actors as well as normalizing their type of performances.
Anyway, big fan of Violet Myers and I appreciate this very well thought out interview. I would love for her to be able to give us that kind of behind the scenes perspective on how much work and care goes into these videos so more people could understand and appreciate it and move beyond stigmas of the past.

I've seen her in interviews on yt before and she seems really fun, so I'm hyped for this.
I also think the reason OF is more appealing to women that are curious about dipping their toes into the industry, is because you're in complete control of everything. You don't have to have sex with a stranger on camera, you can just pleasure yourself, or film intimacy with a partner/partners that you know well and are 100% comfortable with. It takes away some of the fear of intimacy with a stranger, potential for STI's, boundaries being crossed, potential abuse, etc.

On the topic of people having to burn bridges due to NSFW work, as an artist who dabbles with NSFW work and is rather open about it, I defo had this issue.
My moms SO used to hate my guts when he found out I did NSFW art, thankfully my moms very accepting and after a long talk Ive convinced her I know what Im getting into. But eventually we burned bridges with my moms SO and I had to move. It took me a while for the relationship to calm down and for him to accept me somewhat. But Im glad that I at least have a supportive mother who, despite not being at all happy with me choosing to draw NSFW, still respects me and is happy Im trying to find ways to make a living. In that sense, Im insanely priviledged.
I know people with what we call asian tiger parents, who beat and disowned their child when they found out they were doing anime art, not even NSFW. Shits horrible, those people have failed as parents and can eat dirt. If youve ever gotten disowned for who you are and what youre doing, as long as its legal, you are not within the wrong. You are a worthy person, keep being yourself.
