I bought one from Lovey's out of California last year! Original mint condition with a mint case and it has never been re-fretted with plenty of frets left. I paid out the nose for it but I had to have it. The 1970's Telecaster Deluxe is one of the best playing guitar Fender has ever designed!!! I love the relic dude!
Thanks, When I got the guitar it looked exactly as shown, I'm not sure if someone tried to manually relic it or if it's just had the snot kicked out of it over the last 48 years. Probably a little of both. Either way it's got serious MOJO!
I’ve owned my ‘73 deluxe since ‘75 in mocha finish. Never did anything to it but play it. It’s an awesome guitar that plays like a dream. Just found NOS original saddles for it and now plays like new again. Rock on.
Killer guitar. No guitar has more vibe than The Deluxe. A few come close - Firebird, Junior (both LP & SG), and the right Jazzmaster... But for me, the '72 Tele Deluxe (as a model, doesn't need to be "72) is the Mack Daddy Kewl 😎 of cool 'tars. It oozes ZZ Top levels of pure, uncut KEWL And with those Seth Lover pickups...so unique and so limited..I don't know why they aren't blown out on the market! 🤷♂️ And that's another thing I like about them...they are not what every single guitar player has, like a Strat, tele and Les Paul. Congrats...it looks killer, banged up like that...and those pickups sound GREEEAAT! I really like their dynamic, touch sensitive, semi-compressed/semi-open toaaan. 😊👍
Do you know if the necks in these vintage tele deluxes can be swapped out with any 3-bolt Strat neck? Always wanted one of these but I’d love to be able to put a rosewood board neck on it.
Glad you’re happy but I’m so disappointed that all I hear in many vids is distorted / overdriven sounds. Simple question to you and others: irrespective of your preferred playing style or musical preferences and/or mine, or for that matter anybody else in the world, do you seriously believe that delivering distorted / overdriven tones really describes the true sonic qualities of such a fine instrument? I certainly don’t because, quite simply, delivering an appraisal of an instrument in anything other than its purest tones simply rubbish.
Pardon me. I play the the tones I like and yes I can the tell the difference between any guitar with this classic rock tones. Maybe you should make your own demos for yourself to meet your needs.
that thing is awesome! great playing too!
I have a '73 and you really can't beat these. They're incredible.
Always wanted one of these in the natural finish. Yours sounds incredible
Thank you, it's an awesome guitar and the fact it has a re-fret makes it that much better.
I got a 1974 in natural. Sweet axe

Good for you dude!!! Looks as beat up as me. Sounds great!
I have a 73! Love it!
No they are excellent guitars and the Wide Range humbuckers are the best pickups Fender ever produced omho!

Sorry, not sure about that.
Awesome🎸《☆》👍It doesn't suck🖖😎📽🔈
I love these do not know why people hate on them for being too distorted?
Killer! 👌
Audio not good, but enjoyed the post
Those tuners look like newer ones IMO
They are original 1974 to the guitar.
@@guitargathering4488 Thanks 🙂 That must be the first introduction to the square style closed tuners on Fenders.
Angus Young tone
I wonder what you would expect to pay for one like that 1500.00 or 2k?
Mine would cost you 4K!

People want to know what it sounds like distorted / over driven because thats how they play, you jackass.
@@guitargathering4488 agreed
