As soon as you started writing that riff I said to myself "it sounds like something Maylene and the Sons of Disaster would write", and then you started playing one of their riffs lol.
Lol, when you were working on the demo track, I was wondering if you ever listened to Maylene and the Sons of Disaster. Then I guess you heard my mind and snuck in a couple Maylene riffs toward the end there to answer my curiosity, haha.
I also have a thing for surf green. It started about 12 years ago when I bought a surf green Jaguar. Then I bought a surf green lamp, and a surf green/white pillow case for my body pillow. Then I painted my bedroom walls surf green. I kinda have a thing for seafoam green, too. I have three guitars in seafoam green right now, but it ends there... no seafoam green walls or accessories...... yet. Haha. That Tele is sick tho. Big fan of Deluxes, as well as the big CBS era headstock shape!
So glad you did a review on this cause I saw Fenders video on the new line, and saw this tele and the demo in the fender video was cool and all, but I was still wondering how it does with high gain!
There will almost definitely be a squire version around the corner for just a few hundred bucks my man. Hang in there, you can have the next best thing soon. I just ordered an affinity tele and it's amazing. Squire has absolutely stepped up their game recently. Only thing it needs is a fret polish, that's it.
Funny , ive been thinking solar , or ltd esp for my next handsome purchase lol and just today i was thinking why not mix it up and go fender for metal !
I've got a Classic Series (what Vintera replaced) 72 Thinline Tele with a glossy U neck and I love the shape. The gloss neck will get smoother with play and will feel good. I just played some new gloss necks a few days ago and really showed how much better mine got
One of these days, Fender needs to make a Telecaster Deluxe with a matching headstock, even if it is black to match the pickguard. I would absolutely rock that!
i own a 50s tele from the old vintera series and a 50s strat from the classic series that came before vintera. they're excellent and in some parts even better than some more expensive guitars i own, which are well into the 4figures. the mexican fender factory with it's good reputation today is still vastly underrated in my opinion. i'd buy a mexican made fender product without any hesitation. their QC has beed perfect in my personal expeience, even for the spare parts like pots and switches and the speaker cabs they build for evh and fender.
This Demo track sounds like a djent kid from Nashville started jamming with his dad and worked out a compromise. And I mean this in the best way possible
The tele truly is The One Guitar To Rule Them All. I slept on it for WAY too long. Im super happy to have one now, i just got it uesterday and its amazing. A cheap ass 200 dollar affinity series with 2 single coils, and itll probably end up being my main. Above my Epiphone Matt Heafy Origins 7 string.
I try to only invest in American or “country of origin” made guitars. I scared me when u said your ATD pickups would not chug. Lol. My buddy has one of the 1st Mexican made thin-lines, we agreed to leave it at home from fear of a fight to play the set with it. Heavy guitar but amazing.
Been building teles out w trems for years and selloing them easily because for whatever reason that shape was always woefully under whammied... those days are gone 😢
Hunter, This may not be the right channel for these questions, but I'll give it a try: 1) Are the "vintage" pickups the ones with "Cunife" magnets? I'm asking because real cunife wide-range humbuckers are going for $250 new. I have my doubts about them appearing in a $1200 guitar. Then again, the pickups are different from what previously was being sold as "wide range" 2) Did you try out the whammy?
Ok so I'm a big Buckethead fan and really would love to own one of his Les Paul's, but they appear to me to be quite hard to find and also extremely expensive. A brand called "10'S Guitars" makes fairly budget guitars and they have a Buckethead Les Paul copy, could you review it? Let us know if it's a good budget alternative? Thanks man, Love your stuff.
Sure, props to Fender for the lineup. But much like the first run of Vintera, there are no lefties. No love to the lefties. That's at least two sales they lost from me.
Hey agu. I'm looking for a seven string and just watched the high intergrity 7 string hello kitty guitar that you fixed. I lokey love it. Do you still have it? And would you be open to selling it?
I've got the vintera 50s tele (looks a lot like this but with single coils and a smaller tele style headstock) and its absolutely sick. sure this one is amazing too
It’s funny, while you were riffing around I thought the tone sounds like Maylene and The Sons Of Disaster… and then 5 minutes later 😑 I hear you dude… I hear you Hahaha
So for me surf green is my daughters zodiac color, my favorite brand of coffees box color donut shop 4 life , my keurig is also surf green , when i think of surf green combined with guitars and metal i also think of old school zombie movies in black and white and that if you put them in color that would be the color of the zombies
Ouch, hopefully that finger is thoroughly disinfected. I bought a Meteora HH last year. Like the guitar, but quality was also not the best. Fender do need to work on their QC instead of just pushing out product and doing marketing blitz

Just because it can chug doesn't mean it should chug.
I wanna bring it up now but the last chapter is like the wrong name (it says Jackson American Series Virtuoso) but I love the song.
Agu… what drum pack or plug-in do you use to create your drum tracks? And what software? They always sound awesome. Thanks for letting me know….
Are these the same pickups as the vintners road worn?
"A new box from Fender" opens box, oh thank god it's not the same as AAAALL the other Fender videos today..! 😂
The other Fender product is sick af though. I’ve only seen Ola’s video
@@GarthNGuitars it seems awesome yeah, the product I can't dispute. Just nice seeing a change from every other channel I follow
That surf green looks absolutely amazing. I've always loved the big headstock on a telecaster.
Fender’s (Not Squier) bread and butter seems to be the higher end MIM stuff/lower tier MIJ guitars.
Thanks for including basses.
As soon as you started writing that riff I said to myself "it sounds like something Maylene and the Sons of Disaster would write", and then you started playing one of their riffs lol.
I just commented the same thing!! Great minds think alike!! 🙌🏻
Your demo track sounds fantastic. The slide section fits in very well.
Thanks, dude!
The slide with the gain sounds like some White Zombie stuff and I'm all for it.
@@ShadowSloth3YAW!
I want that track! Absolutely awesome. Thanks to cat for giving us the amazing slides!
Lol, when you were working on the demo track, I was wondering if you ever listened to Maylene and the Sons of Disaster. Then I guess you heard my mind and snuck in a couple Maylene riffs toward the end there to answer my curiosity, haha.
Love that axe!! Great playing to bud

They awhile back made a limited run of these in a black body ... always wanted 1 of the black ones with the trem like this one !!
Dude that clean section was sick. You need to do more ambient stuff. Sounds killer
Maybe my all-time favorite demo track riff. To me, sounds like White/Rob Zombie meets Agufish. Zombie Fish? Great band name...
I absolutely love that color with the black pickguard! 😍 I'm just sad I can't afford it 😞
There will almost definitely be a squire version around the corner for just a few hundred bucks my man. Hang in there, you can have the next best thing soon. Great one! Id love it!
Any updates on your Harley benton exclusives ?
Oh man,I've been wanting one of these bad boys!!!👍Thanks for the awesome chugs Hunter!🤘
this tonemaster pro video is weird!
Lmao👍
Funny , ive been thinking solar , or ltd esp for my next handsome purchase lol and just today i was thinking why not mix it up and go fender for metal !
Woah! A Maylene riff! 9:45
Awesome taste!
EDIT: And another one at 11:20!
That first riff replays in my head ALL the time. One of my favorites ever
Video caught me by surprise and when you played the Maylene and The Sons of Disaster riffs had to subscribe
One of my favorite demo tracks by far! Great job and great playing Hunter!
Slide + high gain reminds me of No More Tears. I dig it.
I’m really loving this demo track!!!!!
About a decade ago i jammed on a squier jazzmaster seafoam green, is it just me or for the price point those things are amazing?!?!
Sick jam🎸🤘
Beefy boi chugs 🤛🤛
my favourite part was his final thoughts on the Jackson American Series Virtuoso at 9:01 lmao
the tapping riff sounded so much like the opening to joker and the thief by wolfmother
Was looking for this comment.
That wide range showing its colors through THAT gain🥵
Get ready for the spark cab
i need the mustang they dropped in this collection competition blue is gorgeous
I've got a Classic Series (what Vintera replaced) 72 Thinline Tele with a glossy U neck and I love the shape. The gloss neck will get smoother with play and will feel good. I just played some new gloss necks a few days ago and really showed how much better mine got
The final section of the demo track was awersome !
hey can you do a Fender Telecaster vs Shechter PT video
I’m kind of low key obsessed with tele deluxes lately. I played one of the American pro 2s and was really into it.
Wide range humbuckers do indeed split extremely convincingly, idk what it is about em but it just works.
One of these days, Fender needs to make a Telecaster Deluxe with a matching headstock, even if it is black to match the pickguard. I would absolutely rock that!
Heck yeah, been waiting for a chug test on these and Hunter delivers!
You're a spicy girl, Hunter

Damn Hunter The track is awesome!!!!!!! Like somebody else said thanks to the cat 👍
Love the metal slide work, sounds very Primus
this sounds the way I wish my Tele AM Pro II Deluxe did.. Still love the AM Pro II but I really may have to grab this
The tele deluxe is so slept on. Keep fuckin around with the clean tones. That’s where that guitar gets insane.
Those humbuckers are amazing
Little maylene riff in there I dig that
There’s so much Chugg on the riffs that the pitch almost gets obliterated!
The tele truly is The One Guitar To Rule Them All. I slept on it for WAY too long. Im super happy to have one now, i just got it uesterday and its amazing. I keep forgetting it’s a telle. The head, pickups and pick guard make my brain change it to something else.
Love this guitar so much. I have a MIM HH Fender Tele in the same color that has become my go to guitar. So easy to play.
Great song BTW!
Awesome demo dude
Wide range pickups are so underrated. Sound chunk AF
This track is probably my favorite of yours I've heard in a long time, and that's saying plenty. Well done, and very cool guitar!
Wide Range is fire!
Green is the best color ever!
Been building teles out w trems for years and selloing them easily because for whatever reason that shape was always woefully under whammied... those days are gone 😢
Fsirt
Nailed it.

Is this jam up on Spotify or anything?
Would love to see a video of a suhr classic T
this and the NT tele from ESP make we want one now just for redonkulous chugs lol

i want hat thing so bad!
Have you tried the dudemeister amp sim from audioassault it sounds awesome
I love how you went straight for the kill with “Beast And The Harlot” 🦾😈
Hey agu. I'm looking for a seven string and just watched the high intergrity 7 string hello kitty guitar that you fixed. I lokey love it. Do you still have it? And would you be open to selling it?
I never liked the big blob pickguard, but hey, that belly cut is an essential.
I've got the vintera 50s tele (looks a lot like this but with single coils and a smaller tele style headstock) and its absolutely sick. sure this one is amazing too
I think we all know what a telecaster looks like homie 😂
I don't know why, by I'm always surprised how MASSIVE telecaster bodies are compared to how they look in photos.
Love the song and the guitar.
Yo Hunter, where do you buy Jimmy Clips from? I can’t find the
Website?
That thing rocks. I'm thinking I might have to get one
It’s funny, while you were riffing around I thought the tone sounds like Maylene and The Sons Of Disaster… and then 5 minutes later 😑 I hear you dude… I hear you Hahaha
I think you inspired a new crossover genre….Metalgrass
The song sounds like an Alice in chains song. And the solo reminds me of wolf mother
The only thing they could have done better was making it a string through hardtail.
The new genre known as Chonky Tonk music.
Sounds a bit like primus
I had a feeling there was some magic with these Teles…..
I wish these were available left handed
No joke, I bet you could sell that track to Rob Zombi.
damnit i want one.
So for me surf green is my daughters zodiac color, my favorite brand of coffees box color donut shop 4 life , my keurig is also surf green , when i think of surf green combined with guitars and metal i also think of old school zombie movies in black and white and that if you put them in color that would be the color of the zombies
Where's the silverburst Meteora video? Same kind of guitar, more modern neck, sexier looks, more confortable for sure
If anytime u wanna throw out a guitar let me know man, brother in need
This would get the Pop Punk treatment from ME
I’ve been watching you for years and forgot you age, you’re a father? WTH!?!
damn I miss the "Simon says" part of your videos
Ouch, hopefully that finger is thoroughly disinfected.
I bought a Meteora HH last year. Like the guitar, but quality was also not the best. Fender do need to work on their QC instead of just pushing out product and doing marketing blitz
I can Finally buy an competition mustang but not afford one
Come to life.😊
how can you afford so many guitars bro?
Dear Fender, but the fit and finish on your U.S.A made stuff does.
