I remember doing my second play through of KCD a few years ago, after i was finished i looked up if there was going to be a second and found nothing but rumors and speculation and felt sad i wouldnt be able to see the rest of the story. I cant believe we're only days away from seeing Henry, Hans and Radzig again, and getting back our fucking sword.
Same for me but i was sure there would be a second game. The way warhouse dropped the news out of the blue, with a nearly finished game and an epic presentation was an incredible good move. Those last days waiting are really hard. Even started a kcd1 gameplay again.
I played the game years ago as well, but only actually finished it for the first time a couple of weeks ago. If I had beat it back then, not knowing there would be a sequel, I would've been furious at the ending lol.

Review Monday and lets play videos Tuesday. GOTY nothing will even come close.
As an average American with piss poor world history lessons via school and no czech heritage or general interest in history as a subject in general, I cannot understate my surprise that this game (aside from the addition of main character Henry) is based wholly on real historical events, and further surprised that it got me interested in a tike period and region of the world I truly never gave a second thought towards. The entire Czech region should be thankful to Warhorse for their dedication to the subject and the way it has inspired countless gamers across the world to take great interest and appreciation in their history and their part of this world
We absolutely are and if you will ever come to our beautiful country, stay AT LEAST for a week or two and let the gaming community know - we love to visit places where this story happens and the sequel runs through much more beautiful region as well. I would gladly accompany you on your quest through Czech countryside and cities - it would definitely be a time well spent, my friend :)
I went, was brilliant to see it and other locations. Can be damn sure I'll be going to Kutná Hora later this year or next. Luckily I live in Czech making it much easier for me!
I have played video games for my entire life. I am in my 30's I have played a lot of amazing games, beautiful games, games with great stories and characters, games with amazing mechanics, games that give you a feel good story and stories that make you question parts of your real self and what you may or may not really believe, games which to this day have a lasting impact on my life and have influenced how I continue to enjoy this passionate hobby of mine, and eventually even leading to me creating my own games as a one man indie-dev. I have no issue whatsoever with stating bluntly that KCD is likely one of the most impactful games I have ever played. I will never disrespect how much Europa Universalis III, CivCIty: Rome, Red Dead Revolver, and Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War all were to my life, but KCD is right there with them...and based on everything I have seen and heard and watched so far, I know KCD2 will likely finally be the game that overtakes at least two of those long time "tops" of mine. I can even say KCD2 will likely be more important and impactful to my life than my own games were/are. This infernal wait to play is a cruel and unusual punishment...Id rather take a few lashings with a cane than wait any longer!

Skyrim and Baldurs Gate are RPGs, where you create a character, and there isnt a pre-existing defined one. this is like putting out a new arkham game and saying batman can choose to be gay or something. its not an RPG its a character game. if they want to make something so important to a characters identity (sexual orientation) then it shouldnt be a choice. stop arguing for player choice in every situation. not every game needs a million choices

KCD offers multiple different "Roles" with its different mini-games, play styles and choices. For example becoming Brigand or Bailiff, Or choosing between mace or a sword.

I'm watching older long form KCD vids all the time. I've watched other channels' story recaps (like the one Wolfheart did) and I already know everything there is to know about the first game. Yesterday I finished my final playthrough of KCD1. And I mean FULLEST playthrough there is. Every stone in a province was turned, every single missable thing collected, every skill point was earned, every book read - Everything. Is. Done. Except 1 thing. Right now I saved the game at Capon's camp at the very end of the game. Henry is well fed and ready to go. My plan is to install KCD2, then officially finish KCD1 story, and only then I play KCD2.
The skill it takes to put what is 100+ hour games story into a perfect 10 minutes is crazy, all just so people going into KCD 2 understands what they're getting into, I have never seen any other company do anything even close to this, maybe at most Mass Effects selectable choices.

Finish KCD1 3 or 5 years ago was epic but at the same time sad because there were no indications of a second part so we just had to imagine it
Yesterday I finished my final playthrough of KCD1. And I mean FULLEST playthrough there is. Every stone in a province was turned, every single missable thing collected, every skill point was earned, every book read - Everything. Is. Done. Except 1 thing.
Right now I saved the game at Capon's camp at the very end of the game. Henry is well fed and ready to go. My plan is to install KCD2, then officially finish KCD1 story, and only then I play KCD2.
Hoping with all my heart that we get another build a town in KCD:2

This is the second time in my life I've ever pre-ordered a game
My gameplay was completely different from what's shown here lol, i may need to replay it
The skill it takes to put what is 100+ hour games story into a perfect 10 minutes is crazy, all just so people going into KCD 2 understands what they're getting into, I have never seen any other company do anything even close to this, maybe at most Mass Effects selectable choices.
I mean the main story is "only" like 30 hours or smthing.
