10 MIN WEIGHTED ABS - Dumbbell Ab Workout | Caroline Girvan

- Ten minutes of working on strengthening our ab muscles and entire core! A dumbbell ab workout perfect for post any workout or even on an active rest day along with a stretching routine!
All you will need is your mat and x 1 dumbbell. The dumbbell I am using is 8kg.
Every exercise is different however there will be a staple within each 20 seconds post each exercise; the staple appearing after every 40 seconds is LEG LOWERS! This can be performed with bent legs, alternating, head off mat looking up and forward or with head on mat! It is completely what suits you! Just ensure the level you lower to allows for the lower back to be tight against the mat.
The timer will be on for 40 seconds of each exercise, with the staple of 20 seconds inbetween!

I was feeling so sad this morning. Initially, I was just going to sit on the floor in my bedroom and cry but I decided to try and workout. I searched for weighted ab workout and yours was the first to pop up. I finished this workout with 12lbs dumbbell. I feel so good already. Thank you for this workout.

This was a killer! I can't stop working out with Caroline Girvan, every time I try a different PT's video I find myself thinking "this is quite easy"...instead, Caroline provides us with very EFFECTIVE and challenging workouts, she never disappoints !
I love ab routines just like this! Adding the weight is a great way for me to slow down a smidge and really feel my way through the motion of the exercise, taking out any momentum. Great burn in 10 minutes time! Thank you! Good luck everyone and good job!

Here’s a tip: if every time you do the leg lowers, instead of keeping your arms straight up if you angle them back slightly (as long as you keep your back on the mat) you really get a great stretch in the abs and also work those triceps. It made it all that more intense! Each time I’d try to angle back my arms a little bit more.

I love this workout Caroline!!!!!!!!!!! I've done it for a week now and i'm already getting compliments on my abs :) This workout makes me feel so strong and confident. I really like the crunch to sit up because i've always struggled with crunches.. but that helps me realize the difference between the two now..!!! This was an intense abs session! Loved the staple, when you are really pushing your lower back in to the mat it is very challenging. This week is just brilliant.

Perhaps not so intense as Monday...but a great workout nonetheless! I did it twice...by the end of round two it was becoming hard! The intensity of the leg lowers gradually builds up! Have a lovely day! Matthew

normally i hate ab workouts and do them like a chore but i had a blast with this! the exercises were hard enough that i felt kick-butt but not too hard that i just gave up! 😂 also, do you have any tips for not doming your lower back while doing leg lowers? 😅

Such a great feeling when you have to up the weight because the 2kg dumbbell that you've been using feels too light now!! On an unrelated note, I don't think I've ever hated leg lowers more than I do now 😅
I guess "Leg Lowers" is just the Irish word for "rest".
Just try and let us know I guess you will know what is rest and horrible punishment for hell

Loved this weighted ab workout! The last couple of rounds of lowers I had to lessen the range of motion so I wouldn’t hurt my lower back but I’ll definitely come back to this to get stronger! ❤️

I absolutely love this quick workout. Just the right length and I can work as hard as I want with it. It targets obliques too which is great and I can do it anywhere, if I'm away from home. Thanks so much. Just one big disappointment today - UA-cam put adverts into the middle of the workout. I'm happy to watch ads at the beginning as I don't pay, but breaking up a 10 minute intense workout with ads in the middle is a real problem.

Such a great workout, I find if it’s too challenging I just rest at the 20 second lower legs and then keep doing the other excercises! This will be my new ab finisher workout
