I’ll be honest I teared up a little by the time it finished. Despite it being a short fan film, I enjoyed it quite a bit and felt like I was a kid again watching Star Wars for the first time. Splendid work in my opinion.
Probably one of the most beautiful comments this fan film got. I am so glad our short touched you heart and made you feel that. Thanks a lot and mtfbwy!
Makes me feel proud, as a star wars fan, to see a passionate team making such a great quality production, and, of course, my friend Pablo Montenegro portraying a Jedi in the screen. It is really special to see so much work and efforts in this short. Congratulations to everyone, this is a dream ♥
I absolutely loved this, the story about how the Jedi lost his Padawn Braid and how the Stormtrooper was trying his best to use the force was fantastic. 10/10
Highly debatable. These fans films are great, but the acting is camper than Luke moaning about not being allowed to go to the academy. Surely it’s not very hard to find excellent out of work actors to play a Jedi who’s not surprised when he can use the force.
Whether or not it was intentional, the hole in the storm troopers helmet shows awesome symbolism of a shift from being a mindless, robotic stormtrooper for the empire to exposure of the face and therefore a heightened display of individualism and identity. Awesome short film! Enjoyed it.
We don't get anywhere near enough content of Padawans so smoothly transitioning to Knight, most get too cocky and get themselves captured or killed especially in such a situation it makes for an especially interesting angle to work with :v Edit: that being said rip rookie jedi knight, you tried your best and had a neat moment, here's to hoping TK-438 handles the main quest well!
I'm sure TK-438 will do with or without the force! And yeah, it would so cool to have a series focused on the jedi training in the temple right before episode 1 for example! Different padawans, different journeys and supperation stories!
Well done! Felt very much like star Wars and didn't need a ton of dialogue to make it so. Thanks again for bringing back the feeling of Star Wars again.

UA-cam has recommended a couple of Star Wars fan films recently. One other got more views and all kinds of accolades in the comments, but honestly it was trash. Bad acting, bad directing, the principal character was a teenager but written with the personality and character of a 5 year old. This one? This one is great. This one is wonderful. This made me **FEEL** things. No unnecessary dialogue, no evil monologues, no dumb macguffins. Just believable, meaningful characters. I felt your Padawan's slow realization of confidence after losing his braid. I felt his triumph as he recovered his data disk. I felt his sorrow at getting shot because he celebrated too soon. Good job. Please do more.
Thanks a lot for your comment! I am so happy to know that you felt the story as it developed! That was our goal :D and indeed we are making more fan films!
This is a great fan film that captures the atmosphere and tone of the franchise’s best. I’ve been disenchanted with Star Wars and most of the new Disney stuff since Episode 9, but this is the first time I’ve remembered what it’s like to love this franchise. Awesome job to all who made this👌
What a beautiful comment! One of our goals with this fan film was getting back to the first, original feel of Star Wars that we all had in our early years. The thrill, the adventure, the light hearted characters, the hopeful ending, the sense of wonder... I want to belive we got close to that!
Rogue One and Solo were amazing in my opinion! I wish they made more films like these. Small stories of the galaxy not so focused on the force and the Skywalkers. Thank you for your comment!
Loved this. I saw A New Hope on opening day in 1977. I was 23 & there had never been anything like . It was something to behold. First of its kind. This movie, tho short, had me cheering the kid who has been taken by the bad guys, but is still a good guy at heart. This has the core value of SW, that anyone can be a hero if you just do the right thing.
The fact that the stormtrooper was able to shoot and hit the droid, makes this completely unbelievable. All joking aside, great job this was a fun watch.
Yet another well done fan film by people who respect the material that just proves that Hollywood is spending hundreds of millions of dollars turning out inferior garbage.
Absolutely great. I can't believe what fan studios can produce these days. A compelling short film, some nice acting, perfect costuming, great effects. It was so spot on to the main films that it duplicated the Stormtrooper aim problem - the Padawan is literally surrounded at close range and being missed. It was classic. Pablo as a Jedi was easily as good a fit in the role as many from the big screen. Imagine a SW film about a disgraced stormtrooper trying to escape the empire with the last words of a dying Jedi, only to find himself completely disbelieved by the rebels so carrying on the mission he was given.
Thank you! Small filmmakers like us don't have big budgets but we do have time, love and creative freedom. Those are super powerful tools. And what you said about the stormtrooper is actually a really nice idea for the continuation of this fan film. Only TK-438 knows what he had to face to complete this mission....
The problem wasn't that he was surrounded and they couldn't hit him; it was that their 'solution' to fighting the guy with a laser-sword was to get closer, and they only tried to surround him after the Jedi went behind a rock. Note that this is pretty sad even for the kind of armed thugs who need to 'blood' recruits like they attempted with TK-438.
