With this truck you can keep the truck idle if you want. With the truck on, push in your yellow valve, then on your steering wheel press the cruise control button labeled "on" then press the "res" or "set" button to the top or bottom of cruise control, then pull out your yellow valve. If you do it correctly on your dash on the bottom right corner of the screen you will see "Engine Throttle". It's now engaged, pressing the brake will turn this off & you'll have to do it again.
Doesn’t work in my truck. It worked fine in my trainers truck

Works for cool but not heat never get warm
I was in the same boat until my new truck was due for its 2ND maintenance. They (the company shop) were asking me about the APU and the ambient temperature features, meaning if the outside temperature is within a certain range, the APU is supposed to be able to cool or warm the truck accordingly, while you’re still able to control the temp from low to full blast. Come to find out, my heater cables were NOT EVEN CONNECTED underneath my truck! That’s why my air was working but not the heat. And the ambient temperature function didn’t work because they never installed it on my truck although it had the capabilities…and they wondered why I was idling my truck with an APU… 🤦🏽♀️ they don’t check anything thoroughly. They just give you the truck and a manual and hope for the best.

@@zakariamohamed1302 it did but I'm not sure if my truck is broken or what. But after using it for a while it will shut off and only regular air will blow out, if I hit it again it will stay on for a few seconds and then shut back off. It seems to need the truck to run to charge it back up. The truck will turn on by itself however when the voltage gets low and charge back up.
But yeah, everything in this video works as long as the truck is running properly

It only worked for me when 1st got my truck... Now the AC turns off at 12.4V and the auto stop start doesn't work.
It doesn’t kick on and start the engine until it drops below 12v
I see it so it between 11.8 & 11.9 volts

try this worked for me
With the truck on, press the cruise control button in the middle and the press the set button. It would say auto throttle on your display and stay on

What is the button on the international truck right to the left of the auto start button that says, “on spare”? That is the only button that I don’t know what it dose. And it’s not even in the owner’s manual. I believe it’s 2018 truck. 2021 truck. Sorry

@@darrencoleman601 I think it might be for the spare USB port right beside it. Idk though. I don’t think because I’ve plugged my phone into that port with that button off and it still worked… so idk
You know what button I’m talking about though?
That “ on spare” switch is for the external lights if you ever get any extra marker lights or fog lights for the truck that are aftermarket, you can connect those lights to the “ spare” switch and use them whenever you turn the switch on. For ex- chicken lights on some trucks on the sides or bigger headlights.
So what happens? Does the key just magically turn over to the right and the start turns on?

I hate this system I turn it on... turn on bunk ac but when the truck auto starts the bunk ac shuts off... wtf have to keep waking up to turn on the ac again
Junk its either the ac doesnt work or the heat doesnt work.
On the Kenworth i can turn on the feature for the heat without having the truck on... Thats the point of having the feature so the truck doesn't have to idle. I understand the AC but there is no reason for the truck to be on if i have a heat unit. I can turn on the heat unit even if the start/stop is off but the damn AC still turns on while my heat is on which makes no damn sense!

Ya see there is a few major problem with auto start/stop, one it takes more fuel to start a motor then to le t it idle, two I do believe most states still have a law were it's illegal to turn your engine off at a stop light. It falls under loss of control of the vehicle. Above all it FREAKING STUPID!

someone is sleeping in the bunk, a/c on, curtain closed, the other driver is dying in the 50c in the front...
