Universal Pen Holder Tutorial: Easy Drawing with the ScanNCut | AD

- The Universal Pen Holder is the must-have addition to your ScanNCut! Now, instead of being limited to your specialised Brother pens, the Universal Pen Holder also allows you to use your machine to draw with virtually any pen, including felt tips and gel pens. Corinne Bradd takes you through the basics in her step-by-step tutorial, showing how to scan your design, attach the Universal Pen Holder with your chosen pen, then get illustrating or writing onto card, paper and much more!
The Universal Pen Holder works with any of the ScanNCut models, including the CM and SDX machines. If you want to use a slimmer pen from your stash, don’t worry - Brother also offers the Small Barrel Pen Holder which allows you to use pens that have a diameter between 7.8mm and 9.6mm and with a length more than 70mm.
In addition, the Universal Pen Holder also allows you to use pens that provide different finishes, such as metallic inks, directly onto your project for great effects. Unlike a printer, the ScanNCut lets you resize a scanned image or text, then position it exactly before drawing it onto your chosen material, so it can be enlarged or shrunk down as needed. You can also use it to draw a design into fabric with a fibre tip pen to create an embroidery template, or use a permanent marker on thin leather to create a personalised wallet or purse. Watch Corinne’s video, try it out, then see what you’re inspired to create!

Thanks for the washi tape tip. I have been using my old machine for ages but never thought of that. Always learn from you,
Thank you many really good ideas.
I love your tutorials. You're no nonsense and straight to the point. More importantly, I understand you. Thank you for uploading these videos. I just got a scanncut and I'm devouring these videos and some people rattle on. ❤️
I'm glad you understand me. Always a bonus when what I'm saying makes sense 🤣 c x
Excellent informative no nonsense approach, fab thank you
Loved the washi tip! Thank you.
Super:) Really loved watching it! Big Thumbs up 😊👍
Great tips I just got my universal pen holder and haven’t used it yet. You explain and demonstrate the scan and cut so very well. I’m not a nervous wreck watching you, thank you so much.
Ha ha, I'm a nervous wreck demonstrating sometimes!!! c x
Awesome , I might try making labels for my quilts.
Oh, good idea! c x
Love your videos, great examples and explanations of using the scan n cut. I’ve just bought one, can’t wait to get making stuff 😊
Glad you like the demo, you'll have fun with yours I'm sure, c x
Thank you very nice tutorial 👍
Glad you liked it
Wow
Nice sharing 🌷🌷
Can I use this pen holder on cm800Q
I am going to have to get those pen holders now. BTW, standard sharpies may be too big, but Sharpie has an ultra fine pen with a narrow barrel. I like using them for zentangle on occasion.
Oh, I'll have to look out for one of them, c x
Thank you for this but we can’t see your screen very well. Happy crafting
Yeah, we don't have enough cameras to capture everything without keep stopping and starting 😉Hopefully the explanation is good enough for you to follow? c x
Amazing
Thank you for these videos. I cut vinyl with my scan n cut. tried drawing and it won't draw. then gave up on that and tried cutting and that failed. I'll call Brother tomorrow. I did something wrong fir sure.
Do you have a lever on the side for position 1 and 2? Would it be something to do with that? c x
@@TheCraftsChannel yes I tried that. thank you
@@annphilbeck5174 Hope you get it sorted and it's something simple, c x
