I swear to you, I almost passed out. So I was a little nervous to click on this video, because I've had such good luck with their range and I was afraid you'd hate them. I'm relieved! I can't wait to try the cake mascara now. And Blood Red looks like what I wanted Noir Red to be. I have a mini of Red Velvet now, but I'm thinking they'll release a special edition for Agent Carter next year, so I'm holding out on buying a full size. My only qualm is that I wish their base product shades were more dark skin friendly. I think they're working on improving the range.

I've tried the Red Velvet in their little sample matchsticks and am looking forward to being able to afford a full size, I also managed to get my hands on the discontinued Cinnamon Sweet from OPI which was Peggy's nail colour. I have the Cake Mascara in brown and was blown away when I didn't turn into a streaky mess during a funeral which I was actively crying through. Looking forward to vlogmas!

I think I mentioned Tango Red in my comment on Monday's video as my favorite Bésame shade--it does pull very orange on you and would be a lovely summer shade, but I can see why you wouldn't like it considering what you usually wear. I have yellow undertones and it pulls very pink on me. If I dab some on my cheeks it looks like my natural flush with a hint of brightness. Blood Red looks GREAT on you, as does Red Velvet.
(sorry, late reply/interrogation as I'm stalking besame swatches to figure out what color to buy lmao). i'm also quite yellow and hate that every red lipstick pulls pinker on me - do you mean to say that even a supposedly orange shade like tango red pulls pink on you as well, or just more neutral than suggested? also, if you own blood red or red velvet, do you they pull red on you as well? I am so happy I came across your channel. It is an intersection of so many things I think are really cool. I love your vintage aesthetic whether it's shown with fashion, hair, or makeup. I also appreciate your videos about disability. I have a mental illness that has made the course of my life very different from what I had planned. While I'm becoming more independent, learning to cope has been a long process and I don't yet live on my own or have a college degree. These are still goals of mine and I believe I will reach them someday but I deal with a lot of shame and frustration about being "behind." Even though your disabilities are different from mine and impact you in different ways, your attitude about it is extremely helpful to me. I was really moved when you talked about how you used to believe you had to be completely healthy or disability free to lead the life you wanted (I'm sorry, I don't remember the specific video; I've binge watched a lot of them, lol) but that that isn't actually the case. It gives me hope that I can lead a worthwhile life and achieve my goals even if my mental illness will also be a part of that life. Thanks for all your videos and for being such a cool person.
Llyrra Treks Hi, I just wanted to reach out to you and say my mum was poorly when I was younger and she ended up going to get her degree when she was in her 50s (I'm assuming you've got a year or two yet before you get to this point of life). Learning is a lifelong process and it is never too late. I was ill in my teens and early 20s and enrolled at university when I was 28 so please don't be hard on yourself. You deserve kindness and compassion and anyway lots of people have happy lives without getting degrees etc so please don't stress yourself. Best wishes and kitten hugs 😊xx

You've just reminded me I need to order more brightening powder! I use the violet and the rose, and they are heavenly. I love all of their products that I've tried (which is quite a bit!) I have been using Besame for the past year. It is THE BEST MAKEUP EVER! I use the cake mascara, the Noir red, the blood red, red velvet (my fave, too), and the victory red. I have a thing for reds, okay? I also wear the fragrances, but its the 1930. Whenever I wear Besame I ALWAYS get compliments. My red lips are the thing I am known for so I am so thrilled I found a company that stays on. AND I was so excited when I heard about the Agent Carter line. Oh my gosh I'm dying to try Besame! Another lipstick tip, which I learned from my party girl Great Aunt: After one coat, blot with tissue then take another piece of tissue, hold it against your lips and powder over it. Then apply another coat if you're using a lipstick with a glossier finish. I have a sleep disorder and have actually fallen asleep with red lips on and woke up without a smudge!

Oh, well now alllll of the Besame lipsticks are on my wishlist. Also, like another in the comments down here, you've inspired me to learn some ASL. Another lipstick tip, which I learned from my party girl Great Aunt: After one coat, blot with tissue then take another piece of tissue, hold it against your lips and powder over it. Then apply another coat if you're using a lipstick with a glossier finish. I have a sleep disorder and have actually fallen asleep with red lips on and woke up without a smudge!

For travel lipstick use a lip liner to help keep it in place. Or put concealer or foundation around ur mouth.

I will say, I much prefer the BSL version of the letter W over the ASL version. My fingers never want to stay in position for the ASL "W".
