@stepanovrock4179well I’ve never heard of the two bands that you listed but I have heard of BMTH… so it was really that they were able to use their unique take on the style of music combined with their image (oil’s popularity) which allowed them to become much more widespread than other deathcore/metalcore/whatever bands at that time
meh, Us metal/hardcore scene already done this type of music early in the mid 90s with more chaotic.

Bloody hell I remember when this came out when I was 14/15, downloaded their demos off limewire because that’s how we got new music then. They played in my town in ‘07 and it was sold out, completely packed and was before the smoking ban came in so the club was full of smoke. Absolute mess of a night, pretty sure that was the night I lost one of my shoes somehow. I feel old.

I'd figure to add to the horror effect, I'm not saying Americans have the creepiest voices but some tone of American voice in distress or inaudible is far more creepier than an inaudible British or Irish accent.
or even talking in a certain volume, the plain American accent can send more of a chill than an Englishman in certain tones

Fuck me! 2020 and this song randomly pops up in my head! I'll never forget the first time I heard this song. I was about 16 or 17 and I was obsessed! I just turned 30 and I'm still just as obsessed! I haven't listened to too much of their newer stuff past sempiternal, but everything in between is just as amazing 🤘🏼

Eee I just ADORE bring me the horizon so much. I have listened to them since suicide season was just coming out and I've seen them live 8 times. I adore there old stuff and I adore there new stuff, I've grown up with them and I love them for helping me grow. Here's to all of the BMTH fans that have been there through it all with them, the good and the bad! They're the best.

What I never understood about this tune is why Oli decided to go with the American accent on the speaking parts. Yeah it sounds better blah blah blah, more appealing, more attractive, more commercially friendly etc. but we all know he's from Sheffield. What's so wrong with a light Yorkshire accent? I'd have preferred it personally.
