Just one comment about the '7 hours of overtime': since the rounds were 75 minutes + 20 minutes for extra turns, the red timer on Topdeck also includes these 20 minutes, which are actually part of the regular round time. If you subtract 7 × 20 minutes from the total overtime, it ends up being 4 hours and 40 minutes of actual overtime. Still a lot, but definitely less than 7 hours.

Hey! Sisay from the Side Event’s game 4 here, in seat 3. It was in fact me who resolved the smothering tithe and managed to exhaust tivits resources by soul partitioning him as well as untapping the bloom tender that got stolen from me by the Derevi with a legola’s quick reflexes to help counter tivits deluge to get rid of our boards and take tivits attention away from the fact you cast a one ring right before his turn 😂. Crazy game, probably would have had it on my turn but a draw seemed more than fair. Absolute treat playing with you brother 😊!

@@timberkraij4343 time is always running against you. Rounds are getting shorter and more and more TOs are implementing hard cuts after 90minutes. Also there isn't really a single stax piece that can lock all meta decks out of the game. Usually you just end up stopping 1-2 players and at the same time enabling 1-2 players. Add the fact that when you layer multiple stax pieces you end up spending ressources on game action that wont win you the game, becaus of timing restrictions. Just very rarely works out and you end up playing for the draw.

Do you think Urza still has good chances to win at world tournaments?~
No, not really tbh. It lacks so much consistency and card quality compared to top performing decks. Still love it though.
