I'm surprised the box wasn't totally destroyed since it shipped in a bag. Amazon loves to use bags. I actually found this Blu-ray set at a local store yesterday so I cancelled my Amazon order which hadn't shipped yet.
@SolKnightt I know right! I was extremely concerned when the delivery guy handed me the bag. There was no bubble wrap or anything inside the bag. I must admit, I do quite like the set and it's really handy having an entire era in one simple package 😁
It's looking like every first page of this set has that yellow stripe across the whole bottom half. It's supposed to be all blue 😔 Seen several comments saying their copy has it too
@nikkis.2066 Yeah, after I did the video and had another good look it did look very off to me. It's a bit annoying, especially when the set overall is pretty decent in fairness. It's a shame, but sadly there's nothing that can be done I don't think. Do you have the same issue?
@TheNerdyGrail1998 Mine is still waiting to be shipped, so I'll find out, but it's most likely gonna be there, and I suspect the whole printing run will have the error. Dunno if it was just machinery acting up and needing a fix/clean or what, but it's definitely the color of the lamp light and was just bled across the page. At the end of the day, it's a bummer but better than other major issues that could befall a set, like missing art/pages entirely or disc errors (fingers crossed those work fine too xP). I suspect manufacturing errors will be more common place, given the industry and world as it is. My other hobby, Comicbook Omnibuses, have seen a notable uptick in page & manufacturing errors the last couple years.
@nikkis.2066 Fingers crossed when yours arrives it'll be okay. I've tried the discs and not noticed anything major so far, so I think they're alright luckily. I agree, yeah it's definitely the lamp that's bled across. A shame, but if that's the only issue, then I can live with it.
@TheNerdyGrail1998 indeed indeed! A small blemish in an otherwise beautiful piece to the collection of Doctor Who! Appreciate the responses, was a pleasure, and hope you have a great weekend/week!
