I always felt like Todd Rundgren took inspiration from this when he created the Utopia Theme. Bands likes this (in their prime) Pink Floyd, Yes, Tangerine Dream, Gong, Mike Oldfield... were the classical musicians of their time.
There was so much god-awful shite around in the 70's, but I'm so glad I got to see Tangerine Dream, Genesis, Oldfield, Floyd, and Yes, live and in their prime! Good times... with or without herbal enhancements! 😊
@@wlines I saw that show back in the days in Hamburg. After Los Endos there was total silence as everyone in the audience was blown away. Then after about one minute the first guys began to clap cautiously and then that increased to a tornado of applause. Noone had ever heard something like that before. Not from Yes and not from ELP.
@@Lachenmann7 Right. The only cut on SO with Bruford is Cinema Show, which was not recorded on that same 1977 tour. This film is from that earlier tour in 1976.
@@RichardMyers-g3n Maybe you smoked too much. This concert is spring '76 with Bruford on drums. He's visible several times. He didn't play with them after that year.
Bruford and Collins drumming together. It couldn’t get any better
One of the Greatest sounding Bands live 👏👏👏
The greates live vinil all time..SECONDS OUT.....Genesis best time...
I watched this live....so many years ago. Thank you to the band for changing my life in ways that are still occurring every day.
Tony Banks was AWESOME on Keyboards!
This is from the "A Trick Of The Tail"-tour and the audio and footage is from early July 1976.
I love this band GENESIS with their unique music that will never come back

Tony Banks lord of the Arp synth and string machine.
Um tema fantástico, momentos inolvidáveis...😊
Phil was a monster on drums in those days
The best
One band I never got to see live and so regret it, got all their records though ..
Its great we have this footage, so you can imagine what it was like. This was their last great tour IMO.

@@anonymusum Great story great experience
Madness. impossibly good.
Seconds out 1978 😊
Nope. Bill Bruford played drums on the Trick of the Tail tour. Chester Thompson played drums on the Seconds Out tour.
@@tayjayvideo And Steve Hackett is still playing so it's definitely 1976.
@@tayjayvideoBruford plays drums on Cinema Show on Seconds Out .
Also Seconds Out was in 1977
@@G.R.V-v4g Steve played until Wind and Wuthering tour. He left when the band was mixing the live album Seconds Out.
This is not the Seconds Out tour -- this is the Trick of the Tail tour, with Bruford on drums, 1976.
Only Cinema Show- with Bruford- is indeed on Seconds Out.

@@Drchainsaw77 Correct. 🙃
77 is correct, I was there, I had long hair and smoked a Thai stick

👏👏👏
Very much focus only on two of members of the band, always left the less on Steve, very underestimated.
So what? That was their style and their sound.
@@anonymusum And Hackett added to that sound!
Bit messy and fast. Still the greatest band that has ever been. But this one is not their best moment
where is P.Gabriel
Peter Gabriel left the band before A Trick of the Tail
@@BenjaminMorel-gp2et Also nach "THE LAMP LIES down". ca.1978? Danke
