"top of the line" gear is wasted money for most people. There is no need for a beer leauger or even older kids to get the most expensive stuff. The mid range gear is just as good. The important thing is to just get the right fit on any gear.

Hey Brent, I bought the same skates and I have a few quick questions since I am new to ice hockey. Do you remove the blades after each game to dry the inside of the hook/release system or do you just wipe it down? I found a lot of water in the hook system when I removed the blades. Would it matter if I never removed the blade but dried the blade and holder with a towel? Thanks so much.

Not Brent but I can tell you that you certainly do NOT have to take them out each game. In fact, don't ever take them out unless you need to replace them. The steel is stainless steel, so a bit of water is definitely fine, just wipe down the steel that you can wipe down and let the skates air dry. Nothing bad will happen to your blades.
