- A day in the life of Thandie and her family. What a lovely day it was, Thandie enjoyed her food, playtime, nap time and taking a hike on the grass or riding along on the mommy-taxi. She is the cutest little gorilla girl. It is a lovely group. I've put the names in the video, because some people requested If I could do that. Hope you'll enjoy this video!

Every Thursday I'm going to the zoo by myself. And once or twice a week I try to go with my son. But indeed, my priorities and time are a bit different than before and when my son comes along, I don't always have the time to make a good video ;). But I'm happy to read you enjoy the glimpse and the videos I post. 🙏🤗

Ty for the names. I know mom and thandie but the rest... ???? It will take time. Why is thandie losing hair ? Is it baby hair? She is so sweet. Big difference in thandie and the baby boy gorillas I watch. Too bad she doesn't have a playmate. As always mom is gathering all the food she sees. I was suprised she let Thandie have the lettuce Haha. Sweet family. Love seeing their videos !! 🌹

Thank you for the lovely comment. They live in Zoo Antwerpen (BE) ;). And they indeed have a lot of human behavior. But they're probably more kind to each other than people are. They are simply magnificent :) have a nice day!

Wat een schatje is Thandie toch. Heeft ze nu zoveel kale plekjes? Dat moment dat ze met mama lag ❤❤ En ook nog lekker buiten! Kijk haar lopen ❤ Wat een mooie shot van Mambele, ze ziet er goed uit. Thandie in mama's armen is ook te schattig. Zodra het kan ga ik weer eens kijken daar.
Ze is echt een schatje. Ja ik had het er al met cindy over. misschien van het kruipen/spelen op de stenen vloer. Is alleen op haar knieën, ellebogen en billen.
Mambele ziet er inderdaad erg goed uit ;)! Hoop dat je haar snel weer kunt bewonderen :)

Thandie looks a bit thread bare on her back, elbows, and back end. What’s she been up to?🥴
She was very adventurous and a bit clumsy around this time. But if you look at the video of thandie two weeks ago, than you'll see she's just fine ;)

Why Thandie looks unhealthy, she don't look the same 3-4 months ago. I hope she is fine 🦍💖🦍💞🦍
She was a bit off for a few weeks last year but since January she is feeling better. As you can see in the video she is playing, eating, cuddling with mum. May I ask what worries you when you see the video?
Liekes Shot Of Life Sad to hear that she's hasn't been well. Hopefully she is on the mend, and will soon be back to looking like her usual gorgeous self.
@Epicgirl Girl last year she was a bit off for a few weeks. She didn't play much and only wanted to be with/on her mum. Since January she is playing again and exploring by herself.
I love this family every single one of them, but Thandie is beyond sweet, she is absolutely beautiful! Amarou (I know I mangled her name) the one with the beautiful long hair is gorgeous, would love to know if Matadi has shown any interest in mating with her.
They are indeed a lovely family :). Amahoro is indeed beautiful and gorgeous. She is for sure the prettiest gorilla I've ever seen. She is special, she is the only Eastern Lowland Gorilla worldwide in a zoo. The other eastern lowland Gorillas passed away over time and they weren't able to successfully mate with the eastern lowland gorilla's in time. Because Matadi is a western lowland gorilla, they aren't allowed to get babies. But they do mate, he does have interest in her. But Amahoro gets birth control pills so she won't get pregnant.
@@LiekesShotOfLife Correct me if I'm wrong but I read the Eastern can't procreate with the Western Lowland and vice verse because of some internal issue. I would appreciate anyone's input if you know differently!
@@swamp5050 do you mean they can't mate or they can't get babies?
As far as I know they aren't allowed because in the wild they live to far away from each other. And when they do not know / have got any research on how a hybrid (eastern/western lowland gorilla) will look like (also if it would be healthy), They aren't allowed to experiment with it.
