- My first zootrip by myself after the birth of my son. How I loved seeing this little one again! Little Thandie is becoming such a big beautiful girl. She still loves her daddy. It is heartwarming to see how silverback Matadi plays with his little daughter. And Thandie is a busy girl. When she isn't eating, she is climbing or having fun with a pile of hay (always around her mom of course). I loved how she snuggled up to her dad in the end! Hope you'll enjoy it!

Thandie is a beautiful and precious dainty baby girl...it would be wonderful if she and Kintaro became mates when they're older. They are only one month apart ~ 💜😊

Thandie! How wonderful to see her! She is a smart little girl. I was worried she was going to get stuck coming down those rocks, but she was very brave and moved forward. Daddy likes carrots. I laughed him trying to carry so many.
That enclosure seems terribly dry and barren. I hope there was greenery somewhere out of camera view. Lieke, you always choose the perfect music to accompany your videos. Thank you for the video.

WOW!!! Thandie has really grown and is now 1 year old. How time flies so fast..... It would be so nice if she could only meet her grandma Ozala. It's a pity they separated mother and son so early too. Thandie's uncles Lope and Shufai would really enjoy playing with her. I can just imagine.... LOL haha If ONLY...... Thanks so much for sharing.

WOW!!! Look at Matadi, He was born on March 25th 2003 at Twycross zoo, his mother is Ozala n his father was Sekondi (23-Mar-1989 to 26-Feb-2007). At 7 years Matadi was transferred from 23.February.2010 - 04.September.2015 to Paignton Zoo Environmental Park. Then from 4 Sept 2015 till 24.February.2016, he was at Howletts Wild Animal Park. Then from 24.February.2016 he came to Royal Zoological Society of Antwerp. Matadi's now 17 years old.
Wow He has seen some places already. Luckily he has a wonderful family group of himself now and he can just stay in one place with his ladies.
@@LiekesShotOfLife I can't understand is why they have to separate Ozala and Matadi. For Okanda, they had too cos he had very high fever n after he got better, they returned him to Ozala but by that time she rejected him n he had to be cared by one of the staff for a year or so. After that he was transferred to Tierpark Hellabrunn zoo. There is nothing funnier than to see that sweet baby just tearing up that hay. And what a sweet relationship with the big guy. She really interacts with him very sweetly.

I finally subscribed. I've missed too many of your vids, and I don't want to miss any more. I've wasted two years looking at macaques and baboons, which I think are the scum of the primate world. No more of that foolishness!

Where is Momma....they dont usually leave their very young alone to roam around....not even with dad.....they are usually always right next to them
Remember these videos are just a few minutes out of 24hours a day. Thandie is adventurous but also is plenty with /around her mom ;). Have a nice day!

@@eagse yes I am. But they're much more difficult to film. In the Netherlands we have beautiful big groups. But as you might now, they're not that friendly all the time. So it's harder to get lovely films of them. When the babies are outside playing, I film them. I've also posted a video of it ;).
@@LiekesShotOfLife Why is it difficult to film them? Actually it's really easy. If u look at Tama Chimps from Japan, they just film the chimps as they are n how their behavior n how they interact with each other. We share 99% of DNA with them. Their behavior are just likev us humans do. Go to CaramelRibbon3's channel and watch.
@@eagse the groups I can visit are not very easy to film in winter. The enclosures are very dark and there are a lot of climbing structures ;). It's lovely to see but not easy to film over here.
What happened to her bottom thats not good .poor baby
That is her baby tuft of white hair. It lets other gorillas know that she is young and does not know full gorilla ettiquette yet. As she grows up it will darken.
