- Neil Peart's drum solo recorded live in Cleveland in 2010. For the 2010 Time Machine Tour, Peart replaced the finale with an excerpt from the Buddy Rich standard "Love for Sale," which he also performed with the Buddy Rich Big Band at a 2008 memorial concert. He initially named the solo after that song, calling it "Love 4 Sale," but eventually changed the name to "Moto Perpetuo" for the CD and DVD release in November 2011. The title "Moto Perptuo" is Italian for "Perpetual Motion".
Seeing this live was an experience all in itself.
between a billion dollars and a cure for cancer, I prefer a cure for cancer. Rest in peace, master.

POTÊNCIA! Thank you!
As I have got older, drum solos have had less appeal to me - Led Zep’s ‘Moby Dick’, Deep Purple’s ‘The Mule’ etc.
However, this one doesn’t seem to become tired.
Love the interchange between the electric and acoustic drumming.
Have seen another version of this before - possibly with Buddy Rich in the background🤔 (although I think there were a few glimpses of Buddy in the film footage - I did read your notes).
This is also a drum solo that is better visually than listening to it.
Hey Dan, you didn’t have to work too hard with the closed captions on this one😉
I don't know how I missed this comment so sorry about that!
I don't really care much for drum solos, as there are very few that can hold my attention. Neil's solos are an exception to that, as they are so interesting and compositionally beautiful. John Bonham is another drummer who can capture my attention with his solos. I don't think I've hear a Keith Moon solo but he pretty much soloed in almost every song anyway! LOL! Buddy Rich - I liked his solos better than when he played with the band...
I did get a closed caption break on this one...whew! 😉
AMEN!!💖🙏
