The hardest part of playing Vaylantz is actually learning HOW to play it. All these mechanics specific to this archetype's lore game make other Pendulum decks like Dracoslayer seem simple in comparison.
And the complexity doesn't even reward you with breaking the game, though it does have some interesting removal options like shoving monsters into the backrow(which in turn pops backrow they're sitting in front of).
It does reward it with breaking the game. You can shit out a bunch of generic material without using a normal summon. Either you end on a bunch of negates or you end on a bunch of floodgates (secret village, fossil dyna, battle protection, quickeffect pop 2)
Going second in this event was amazing. No negates no interruptions. The hardest game I had was vs double monster immune chaos angel and even then I outed it with the Vaylantz field spell and underworld goddess
The dracoslayer deck had Borreload Savage Dragon, Roach, and Harbringer. Chaos had Archfiend, Seal, and Riser Dragon into Chaos Angel or Black Rose Dragon. There were negates and interruptions though it can be inconsistent to set up and/or the players were not well-versed in how to pilot the decks.

Just enjoy every duel. That's how it should be. These in-game event kills our anxiety and stress on the ladder
The choke point in this deck is Beyond, but if you can dodge with Electrumite or already have a big pendulum scale, it is unstoppable. The best of Vaylantz is your normal summon in turn one only for Dyna and if you get the second turn, it is for Lava Golem
I love this deck so far but haven’t learned all the lines yet so I’m gonna buckle down and watch this when I get home. I’d love to see a True Draco deck video too!

Can’t wait to force my kashtira into the new structure deck. Tbh this feels like when Neos ran DL and how D Phoenix was in every deck. I like this meta of everyone using the same few monsters in their decks because it shows how creative people get to make it work

This tryout duel was so easy this since everyone else was defaulting to Chaos angels I was wiping their field with Dracoslayers Pendulum.
The sad part about Vaylantz is that the most competitive version of the deck is just floodgate turbo
I like this video format!
Chaos is so strong on this event because of unlimited resources and good 2nd turn because no interruption.

Because they look "complicated" but really is not.
Simply put, it's very easy to mess up playing Vaylantz. The amount of literal moving pieces you have to do to play it optimally is difficult even by seasoned player standards. The Deck is fun, but I'd understand if the lack of margin for error and how punishing misplays can be turns players off
Vaylantz is hard to get into cause of their complexity and they're not really THAT good.
It's rough for new people playing the deck and your payout is a deck that's just kinda mid
@@zerker279The deck isn’t exactly mid, it’s just bad for MD. Vaylantz struggles because of the coin flip, and even then you can just run Go Second Turbo with Kaiju LG and any board breakers.

Vaylantz is nuts. I reached Master with it easily. But this deck has a bad timing because of everyone is playing kashtira. So if you lose the coinflip they will lock your scales and banish either electrumite or BTP (or both). But if you have the chance to go first you can make an almost unbreakable board.

it is "shoukan" and yes, it means to summon

Yes, he can, but in this case he simply moves Shangri-Ira to the spells and traps zone
i mean.. it's 1 card combo deck.. u can bring alot hand traps or even triple lava golem (u can play the combos without normal summon).

As fun as this looks, there's no freaking way I can pull any of that off within the time limit. I'm already loosing to time out with way simpler and faster decks...
Yeah this deck is DEFINITELY not one of those that u'll figure out what u are doing while playing, every card has at least 7 lines of text and u should keep in mind the placement of every single card on the board or u might mess up everything and if u try this deck outside of the event u'll get slaughtered cuz u have to take in consideration ur opponent interruptions and when arise heart comes out the deck is 100% unplayable no matter how skilled u are
Watching people trying to understand this deck is hilarious. It’s incredibly fun and degenerate, even if. It’s annoying to learn
