This show was John hosting a failed intervention for the city of LA.

      Yes.
      I am a fan of John's.
      Yet, that's how it felt.

To me, It felt like watching a company/work friends attending a seminar for only them where the expert talks rarely and the colleagues drink and just talk inside jokes the whole time and the audience is watching through a one way mirror

To Live and Die in LA was such a great choice for a lead song. Set the tone each night

I thought the show was very enjoyable. Although, the episodes did seem to go downhill in quality the more it went on, maybe it would've been better to do two then break for a day and do two more. But hey, I was glad I watched it and it was something to look forward to! So thank you John, Netflix, Richard Kind, and everyone involved (everyone except saymo)

Sounds like the perfect dedescription of LA if you think about it

The penultimate one with Letterman, Leunell and Hader was the best one hands down, so I don't agree it went downhill as it went on. It was just uneven and that's kind of what John predicted in the first place, that the show will never find its groove lol

@@maxibluftyeah, the 4th episode was the best along with one of the best episodes of Late Night TV in years IMHO. Unfortunately George Wallace derailed the 5th and last episode

Eu amei Everybody's in L.A. e amo esses dois juntos ❤
Se David Lynch aparecesse, era certeza que ganhariam um Emmy
Torcendo para que o John ganhe outro Emmy

It cost me $22 Australian to buy a month of Netflix to watch this show. Please don't make more! I am very broke!
    What happened to free trials?!?

    • @clarencethomas01

Is it $22 Australian currency for the version with ads? The ad version is sweet and less than half the price, don't pay extra for ad-free

Well, Langston Kerman (one of the writers of EILA) has a Netflix special coming out in August (saw it when it was being filmed at The Green Mill, which was good)… so that’s something.

Because he is pointing out the true, strange, existing weirdness that is LA, for him. John is into the older generations and appreciates the characters he’s come across.

I loved watching EILA!! Brook Linder’s shots and postcards quickly became my favorite parts of the show, it made me really happy and excited towards each new episode. :) 🤎
