Yep, I loved that grill from day 1. It's very reminiscent of the the 240z. I wouldnt change it one bit. The people that dont like it will always have the aftermarket bumpers, but it needs to roll off the factory floor just like this.
It does have that delayed affect on me also, however I do love the colour coded grill accent on the red Z at 8:55. It does just enough to break up the mass of black.
It could be that they left it for their Nismo department to do it or you can go after market and do it it actually doesn't cost as much to open some vents

I think you are missing the point- the last gen or I guess current gen z gets the more angular bumpers creases and lines. The goal for this generation was classic lines to look beautiful not every car needs to look so angry. That’s why the majority of the tenders didn’t touch it.

@@dante240sx the 240Z is the look i want to recapture. It's the lower part of the grill that should maybe be body color, the area that was under the old 240Z chrome bumper.
My family only owns Nissan’s and I had always wanted to own an 370-350 but they seem too outdated but love the aftermarket in this car this car has become my dream/goal car and I’m planning on owning this
11:33. This is the best front bumper design I've seen. Looks legit. He did a great job on the whole car. 13:15. This one looks too much like the 86 to me. I'd be less happy with this design.
This car would look so cool with fender mirrors. I just hope taking the original mirrors can be taken off cleanly, so it doesnt leave an uncoverable hole/bump.
Man when I saw Yasiddesigns Z, I am just amazed by how much of a difference it looks as I feel like this shaped more like a Fairlady, unlike the actual prototype. As you can it's shaped like a 350 and 370, bulky looking but Yasiddesigns killed it with his sleek render design.
I wish, but the market for cheap manual sports cars just isn't there. It'll sell well for what it is I think, but the crossovers will still take the cake.
I agree, the 9:30 render is my favorite one. The front end looks the most factory while improving the goofy square look. I hope there is something just like this available, I'll be the first in line to buy it.
14:43 - I like the front design of this sketch better than the square they use on the prototype. I think the sketch is a more accurate evolution, which also captures what they were trying to achieve on the prototype. It could use a little more refinement (front spoiler has too much of a lip, don't like the fusion of turn signals into air intake but still not bad).

The only people complaining about the front bumper ate those who've only seen photos and videos online. People who've seen the car in the metal seem to think it works. And the Zatsuma render feels top heavy.
You know I subscribed just so I could say I was part of the first 400. Can't wait to see you at 300k. I wish success on you. I rememeber seeing drew peacock at like 60k.
I love the minimalism, with NO wrap morph lights, NO flares, and NO front real or fake front bumper air intakes, and a square set back plain black grill...all with a simple rear lights, again with NO slit up air intake bumper scheme. I hated the past 20 years!!! Pure torture. All this now with Nissan in the rocks , squirming at the bottom...and it's so insane how they do great work when its do or die. To preserve their classic car, or lose it forever.
That’s the old school looks open ram from 1970 to 1978 240z,260z,280z last version L28 straight 2.8L.. Nice cross over New / Oldschool looks NIce can’t wait until it’s come out..
The Yasiddesign renders at the end have actually lengthened the car by a substantial amount. He mentions this in the instagram post they're in, and you can see that the distance between the front wheel and the first doorgap is greater and extends the hood.
Seems funny that we're talking about aftermarket mods for a car that hasn't even been released yet....nobody is certain how much the production vehicle will have changed from the prototype that was unveiled last year. I do say though, if they hit the price point, Nissan might revitalize the small mid-level (non-supercar) sports car segment.
The intro with history on the Z was worth watching but the only image I'm interested in is at 12:52. The grill is the only thing from the proto that needs to be changed.
Love the sqare grill. No clue why every video bashes it. I never liked Nissan, never. But the way this car looks and the things it has to offer made me want to get one. Love the design wouldn't change a thing about it. With love Toyota fanboy.
Nissan has won over my heart once again! The Supra was cool and all (but I was sad to see it had to be done with bmw) but to know me, a 19 year old kid who has heard all about cool Japanese manual cars can still have a chance with a new JDM car that will bring back some awesomeness to Nissan
I absolutely love this clean design. Too MANY cars have that copy and paste front fake air intakes and other outdated and repetitive lines seen in all other cars!!!
So everyone has kept underhood off camera and exhaust as well. I'm thinkin we're in for a suprise. Maybe an all new powerplant. Maybe a new VQVHR? Doubtful but I wouldn't be suprised seeing all the improvements
I think the best or first thing to be done lays in the last render and that making the grill less rectangular. That will be an easy fix with a fibre glass or carbon insert . I’ll definitely change the rectangle grill ASAP upon delivery of my new Z in 2023 👍🏼thank for the time and vid , cheerZ 🍻ps I may even make the grill a little bit Mustang ish 🤔
If it wasn't obvious already, looking at these aftermarket renders confirms to me how much this Z Proto eats the BMW.... oops, Toyota Supra alive. Truly beautiful lines, uncomplicated & elegant, with a modicum of aggression to suit the aftermarket & racing agenda. Want one Santa.
I just love the supra MK4 (like... Who doesn't?), but what they've done to the Supra MK5... It is worthy as a sport car, it has some power but... It's not that worthy as a Supra. Btw my favourite cars of all time that hold the first position together (cuz I can't really choose between them) are the 350Z and the MK4, so I don't even feel like a fanboy hating on a car/brand, cuz I'm just really being honest about my 2 favourite cars. The new Z is actually amazing, I was a bit worried about the front/grille of this car, but I've actually started liking it, and since o sae the first body mod render that fans made, I felt like it doesn't matter too much, cuz you'll be able to just swap it. Not to mention this car is a manual.
@@rynn_crdm There's no denying the Supra is impressive. My point was that it pays homage to the BMW Z4 more than the Supra of old. I'm also old school in my taste in design. Simple, elegant lines, no unnecessary styling cues there for the sake of it. The 60's leading into the 70's was for me the peak of car design. Anything modern that mirrors that era get's my vote. I currently own a 350Z, in favour of the 370Z that may well out perform my beast, but doesn't excite me as much with it's design. A manual 400Z may be the first brand spanking new car I ever own.

Like the JDM-Z34- version, that original front does need work that's for sure, rear tail lights are good but could be better.
Luckily there'll be lots of aftermarket front bumper options. Cannot wait to drive one..right to a tuner for a few basics and enjoy!
