michael .... great stuff !!! question for you, mike... you call cp 3086 a work train, which i am sure refers to the mow cars right behind the engine. as well, are you saying that the cp uses all those center beam cars in their mow department too ? being real close to a standard flat car they could haul a lot of mow equipment, although i have never seen that in practice prototypically on the rails. please clarify the center beams usage in the mow department if they are used there. as i model cp/cn/bprr on my layout here in western ny state ( buffalo area) i am very interested in understanding cp and cn practices to add both reality and functionality to my layout !!! blessings to you, mike !!! denny
Knowing this comment was 11 days ago, but they referred to it as a work train due to its unusual train and well, work. This train was bringing extra/stored centrebeams from Thunder Bay out to Terrace Bay and White River.
