It just seems like the Goldwing keeps looking back at the Harley saying come on buddy, you can do it. You cannnn do ittt. Legend has it that the Harley is still climbing that mountain.

Helmet cam was just like going up it again. I loved it when I went. Until someone has gone themselves they don't have a clue. To hell with the punks and their smart remarks. Good job and great video. Thanks!

neat how people feel the need to criticize . I would have been scared to death that high up, riding AND trying to appreciate the scenery all at the same time. came here to look at Goldwing and see the HD. love my 2002 gl1800. Good for you man.

Tray Giddens Thanks for your comments and for watching! Being the first time riding up a mountain I was pretty anxious, and white-knuckle to the top, all while trying not to be distracted by the AWESOME views.

I can't wait until retirement. I live in the east and there is really nothing new here to see within a 2 day ride.
I did a cross country ride 20 years ago and the west offers so much more for motorcycling.

You need to take some training in riding a motorcycle. At slow speeds, you went over the line to make a right turn and still ended up wide (5:04 time). What you do at slow speeds is just going to be worse at faster speeds. Go to ridelikeapro.com (put the www in there) and buy his video. You will need this. Also, buy Ride Hard, Ride Smart and also Total Control books and read them. Then, practice, practice, practice. Right now, you are a danger to yourself and others. Learn to ride correctly. Practice is fun if you make it a game of improvement.BTW, there are 3 degrees of separation between you and the road. Your planning/appraoch to riding, your practice and skills and finally, your protective gear. You fail on the 3rd degree and will get 3rd degree burns on those arms of yours when the road rash takes the skin off of your arms. Best Foods mayo helps take road gravel out of your flesh!!!! Ride like you do and remember to remind the doctor that you want mayo wrapped in cloth for a day on your road rashed arms.....At 6:24, you skidded the rear tire on a HD downshifting. That is hard to do on and HD and only someone who doesn't know how to ride does it at slow speeds on a HD.

I would think coming down is harder. You can't ride the brakes and you have to use mostly engine for braking and deceleration. No thanks. Going down I will bet is harder.

maskansas I think you did a helluva good job, the punks with the smart ads remarks has never ridin up Piles Peak. That was a great pace, the whole point is to not catch the vehicles in front of you so that you can ENJOY the awesomeness which is pikes peak!

Brian was a little harsh, but he may live in Colorado. We always find it funny to watch the "flatlanders" negotiating our roads! I thought you did just fine because I remember my first ride through the mountains on a trip to Cripple Creek. I thought I was going to go over the edge!!! At least your ride was on paved roads. My first time up Pikes Peak only 2/3 of the road was paved! Nice video, dude. (Yes I know you put it up 5 years before I saw it)
