  • Day 10 of this adventure has us riding to "Twin Falls", a pair of glacier fed waterfalls just outside of Smithers with my sister Janet as our expert tour guide for the day.
So sit back and relax, I think you're gonna like this!
    Thanks for riding a long!
This video is part of a 24 day road trip that will take us from my home in Northern California, up to see my sister Janet in the town of Smithers, British Columbia, (which is approximately 1000 miles North of the U.S. Border) while camping as much as possible along the way.
So sit back and relax and enjoy my take on visual storytelling,.......
    Thanks for Riding Along!

@@NorthboundMotorcycleADV I gave to wait until 2028 for my Canada and Alaska tour. I retire too late in 2027 to make it without getting snowed in.

Twin Falls, what a beautiful place, all that lovely cold, clear melt water. I enjoyed the walk to the viewing platform.

Bought the pine green himi and its my first bike. It is taking me longer than i like to learn throttle control, keep stalling at take off. I have already replaced 2 relays and the spark plug only because it was recommended. Great scenery and water falls. I agree on the long winters, i transplanted fron the northeast to AZ for that reason.

Welcome to the Himmy family Lisa.
Don’t worry to much, you’ll get the throttle control in no time;,take your time and ride safe.

Congratulations on the new bike! The Himalayan is my first bike too. Definitely has changed my life and I suspect yours too 🍻😎
Thanks for watching and stick with it, its so exciting to be free on the bike that you just don’t get any other way. Congrats again and thanks for watching!

Trust me....Winters are only fun if you're a hard core skier! Our bikes are put away for about 6 months, and right now, part of our driveway has about 5 inches of ice on it that won't break up even with a pickaxe. That's the results of 5 degree mornings:-(

Hey Forrest, checking in on you brother! Rewatched some of the videos to hear your smooth demeanor...How on earth, later in years Do you sleep on the ground while motocamping? Watched Charlie's rally in UK recently and had the same Question! I would have to pull the Easy chair behind me to sleep in. LOL

Hey Ed thanks for the comments!
I have to admin that sleeping on the ground has its challenges for me as you will see in future episodes of the trip. Im looking into quality hammocks for my next long trip.
      We will see 😂
      Thanks again for watching 🍻😎🇨🇦

Hmmm....I don't know why....but the water falls here in this vid remind me of that old movie with Danny Devito and Arnold Schwarzenegger called Twins. I wonder why.....😁

BC is pretty great, ain’t it. And you’ve only skimmed the surface.
Down in souther BC, the island, we can ride year round aside from maybe a week or two 👍🏻 then in the warmer months we ride north and into the interior of BC to take in all the beauty. Not to say that the island ain’t pretty either.
    Enjoying your travels!

Isn't the "ECU thing" (which I understand is a change of the fuel map/programing to provide more fuel, maybe I've misunderstood...) something that can only be done in US states with lax emissions laws? If I am correct, this will not be allowed in California.

    • @NorthboundMotorcycleADV
      @NorthboundMotorcycleADV  Рік тому +1

To be honest, I’m not sure exactly what is causing the stalling issue. I have been hearing a lot of talk about the ECU being re-programmed and that should fix the problem. What that exactly means I really don’t know lol. I am not a mechanic, nor do I claim to be. After my bike gets out of the shop, I will let you know what the problem was. Sorry for the late response.🍻😎

@@NorthboundMotorcycleADV Early 2021 euro4 Himalayan's can use a boosterplug. Later 2021 euro5 Himalayan's cannot. Apparently, the booster plug tells the air sensor it is 20 degrees colder than it is causing the fuel to compensate. Devotee's claim the stalling issue is cured by this (and making sure your tank breather hoses are not kinked).
