Hi JC! Thank you so much!!! Comments like yours really make all the hard work that goes into making these video worth it. So a BIG thank you! Take care and Cheers. SAA
Hi Julie. Yes indeed. It really does seem a shame that it's left empty. So many places like this were ruined by the 1953 flood. Thanks and take care. Cheers. SAA
Thanks Farr. Really appreciate you noticing. It took about 4 or 5 attempts to set the shot up. The wind was blowing the drone about all over the place. Pleased with how it came out in the end. It's a very eerie location to be honest and I was glad to leave. Thanks again & Cheers.
Thanks DJI Mini2 videos!!! Hope you are keeping well and still flying! Thanks for the comments about the wind, it was a pain in the arse but I thought it would be good to use it as a feature of the video. Take care & Cheers. SAA
Hi Hugo! really glad you enjoyed it. The location was wind swept and spooky and I didn't hang around after I had finished! Thanks again and regards to Michigan! Cheers. SAA
Hi Robo. Thanks so much. Wow 20 years ago, it has changed so much (like most places I guess). The building itself is set a little way outside the main town on the marsh land that surrounds Felixstowe, so you really have to hunt for it. Glad you enjoyed the flight, it was a nice straight forward affair (if a little windy!) Thanks again and take care. Cheers. SAA
Hi Dave. Thanks so much. It really is a remote location, very eerie and with the wind blowing...I felt very alone. I didn't hang around! Thanks again & Cheers. SAA
This little gem, of a drones eyes view, is why all of your studies I have looked at are so useful and entertaining. I am seeing lot's of different things with interesting close ups. This building I had seen over the years, looking rather sad all on its own, but I would never have had the opportunity to see it as shown on your film. From all people with a mobility problem, I say thank you, for showing us wonderful things that we might otherwise, not get to see! . Keep up the good work.
Thanks Paula. It is the only way to appreciate how lonely this place is. You are not really that far from civilisation but it feels VERY remote. You make an excellent point about bringing views and sights to people who otherwise would be unable to get there, so another reason for me to keep producing videos (if any were needed!). Thanks again for your kind words and take care. x
I have been fascinated by this lonely and sad house ever since I was taken to Felixstowe Ferry by my late friend, Chris. As a child of the late 50s, I was terrified by an old gentleman’s vivid account of the ‘53 floods and vowed never to live near water. I was shocked to see how far away from the Deben this farmhouse is and that it killed the trees. I still have bad dreams about floods to this day. I loved the poignancy of the music.
The fades are very effective . I do like your fade to black and reverse shots. And the wind through the grass is like a clip from some epic helicopter platoon landing. .. Nice work , thanks for taking the time .
Hi LifesaHobby. Thanks so much for the comments!! I spent an age setting up the black house shadow, reverse transition and the wind was a real pain. But like you say I tried to use it as a feature of the video and you are the only person to have appreciated it, so a big thanks! Its great when someone notices the little intentional things I try to incorporate in my videos. I does look a little like a 'nam' door gunner view! thanks again and take care. Cheers. SAA
@@suffolkairadventures sometimes the things others don't notice makes the video more agreeable but they can't tell why . It's those subtle feature s like your own fingerprint on a video
Very nice clip, I especially liked the way you transitioned at the 0:52 mark, nice touch! Loved the low flight over the farmland where you could actually 'see' the wind.🙂
Hi Doug. Thank you so much, I really appreciate your comment about the 0.52 transition, as it took quiet a few attempts to set up (the wind!) I also like how you pick up on the fact that I tried to use the wind as a feature in the video. No one else has commented on that, so thank you. I look forward to hearing from you in the future. Cheers. SAA
You captured this so Beautifully.. Being local to the area we've been to a fair few of your locations most before we had our drone so its nice to see these places from a different perspective.. Keep up the great work, look forward to seeing more videos from you 😊👍
Hi Em & Stu. Thanks so much for checking out my channel. I love doing this, and hope to keep building the channel. I'm slowly getting there after 15 months of uploads, persistence does pay of I guess...Some way to go yet but I just enjoy making the videos so not going to chase those views too much (yeah right!) You have an awesome channel and I love your content. it also gives me lots of ideas where to film. So thanks once again & Cheers. SAA
An unusual sight for me. Plane, plane, plane. As far as the eye can see, the plane itself. And suddenly the house ... That land had to be really salty when the vegetation there was minimal. Nice shots ...
Hi Valko. Glad you enjoyed the video. The fields are huge and the landscape lonely. So very different from when it was covered in tress. Hopefully one day nature will really return. Take care and Cheers. SAA
This place is very intresting, ive actually gone inside of it before and was hearing noises and nocks, it could just be because its falling apart though, fell through the stairs 😭
Sad indeed. Isn't nature amazing though that crops still flourish there now. Imagine the history of that place, the farmer coming home after a long day in the fields. And as far as poo goes, that's quite a pile! I thought my Rottweiler was bad, every time he dumps it's like a mini roundabout, but that pile there takes some beating. I imagine the air was quite fruity there?? Great vid again, I may have to look at one of these Air2S instead of that Mini3, and keep the Mini 2 also.
Hi Nige. It is amazing they can now farm the fields around here, just goes to show nature can recover given time. I was struck by the same thoughts, this was not only a workplace but someone's home which, in an instant was taken from them forever. Just makes you appreciate what you have I guess. As for the poo, it was horrible for about 10 min, then after that I couldn't smell it! I know what you mean about doggy poo, how do they do such massive ones? Even my doggy does huge poos, and he's a little lad. I don't know where he keeps it all. LOL. Tough call on the Air2S v Mini 3. I don't think there is much in it tbh. My only concern is the gimble on the Mini 3. It seems to stick out a mile and when you consider I have had about 6 crashes with the Mini2 in the last 15 months (two bad ones) I just think each of them would have broken a Mini 3. The Mini 2 is so robust, I have had the gimble reattached once (paid repair job) second time it got pushed out of shape I took it apart and did it myself, it was a phaff but doable. LOL reading this back it makes it sound like I am a really rubbish pilot but when you consider the amount of flights I do and the risky shots I take its not surprising. I guess the biggest selling point is the Sub 249 category for the Mini 3. I do get frustrated that I cannot use the Air2S anywhere but out in the sticks. So would probably go for the M3 all said. Anyway you are officially in receipt of my longest ever YT reply so I will wrap it up. Cheers. SAA
Thanks David. There were a lot of bird coming and going and I don't want to even think about the rats!! A spooky location to film, for sure. Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for your continued support. Take care & Cheers. SAA
Good and smooth flying, over the vast beautiful farmland. Thank you for sharing. 🤩🤗😁👍✌️✅
Hi eddy! Hope you are well and thanks for the kind words. It is a wonderful location to film, if a little eerie. Take care and Cheers. SAA

Hi Julie. Yes indeed. It really does seem a shame that it's left empty. So many places like this were ruined by the 1953 flood. Thanks and take care. Cheers. SAA
Love the overhead view of the roof. The contrast is excellent against the darkness of the elongated shadow 👍
