OC: Congrats Beau, nice ride and the color scheme is sharp. I'm not a huge ADV guy, so if I went that route, I'd probably try both and see which fit my riding needs at the time. Ad for off-roading, I got my fill of that in my youth riding my dad's CBX up the mile long dirt road between our house and the pavement. Chase, love those gloves, I'm on my second pair. The only issue I have is one of the Velcro patches it trying to peel off the glove. Nothing a trip to the sewing box can't fix. I just pushed the bar ends with the palm a bit too often and wore the leather and a seam on my original pair being lazy on my daily commutes. I wear them year round just up the road in the Carolinas.

OC: After riding bikes of all weights and power levels offroad, I prioritize light weight. I'm down to a WR250R with large tank, windscreen and seat concepts seat for adventure riding. I do try to hit as much dirt as possible. If I start doing more street I will look to add a T7 to the stable.

Of all the bikes you were talking about trying to pick between, you did well.
Certainly jealous of the heated seat and grips, even though as far south as you are, you really shouldn't get much use out of them.
IC: From Live on two wheels in reality I'm here no matter what! OC: I'd prefer balance and power. Seems like you'd want that sans pavement. Congrats Beau!

Congrats Beau! I do mostly on road and a good bit of two up so I’ve got the 1200 and I love it. The weight goes away as soon as you pull off. Love it on the twistys with the quick shifter. Off road makes me wish I’d bought the 900. You won’t regret it! Awesome bike!

Love the sound of that tiger. Also, upside has some flaws, meaning, depending on your location it’s limited. The closest store for me is close to 25 mins away. Will love some ADV content😅 keep up the great work!

OC: I test rode the Tiger 900 and loved it. However, I just bought the base model Africa Twin 1100 and couldn’t be more happy. The engine is phenomenal and it’s the easiest bike to ride at low speeds that I’ve ever ridden. I do more highway than dirt so the bigger bike made more sense for me. It also has Apple CarPlay so I can run Waze on the TFT when out riding.
That apple carplay is mint. Don’t know how and why Honda is the only one doing this lol

OC I have a 2015 KTM 1190 Adventure and can honestly say it has way way more power than necessary on road and especially off-road. On the other hand I think the smaller bikes would leave me wanting more on the road and frankly they are lighter but not lighter enough too make much difference. They are still big big bikes when off-road gets sketchy.

I think I'll go for the 17k Rally Pro version. I think the T-Plane engine improved the throttle response and feel, but kinda ruined the classic triple sound. It still sounds good, but sounds more thumper-y, or like a parallel twin. I sometimes miss the unique sound of my Daytona 675 and you're not going to get it out of a t-plane triple sadly. To be fair though, I'll mainly ride the Rally Pro off road where the t-plane's low end torque would be much better.

Rally pro has the quick shifter.
Thankfully I can (and am going to) add it to the rally. Triumph quick shifter is butter

Less vibes and better power in higher rpm’s.
There are better way’s to make torque in a engine, bore, stroke, compression, ect.
I’d never get an adv for off road style riding but I wouldn’t mind one on street rubber for touring.
I rode the 900 GT before deciding on the rally... it is a fantastic machine

What’s the suspension set to? Still trying to dial my rally pro in at 235 lbs.
I have mine somewhere in between sport and comfort. It’s nearly there but im going to mess with it a bit more
@@YankiRides yeah I wanna say mine is more toward the comfort end and I think I need some more preload. I get it up to 90 or so and get some wobble in the handlebars like the geometry is off a bit.

Oc: looking for a lighter bike that’s more capable off-road. There’s only two 80mph roads anywhere near me. It’s mostly 55mph stuff. Dream adv for me would be a Yamaha T3 if they ever decide to do it.

Compared to what? Just curious. Its around the same price as the KTM 890 adventure, Multistrada 950, BMW f850 GS, and Africa Twin. The Tenere 700 and Versys 650 are much cheaper than the Tiger, but the Tiger outclasses those bikes by alot

Personally considering the Triumph controls, i dont like the joystick they have. It is not convenient to use even when stopped and when you are moving it is super annoying.
I have no idea why Triumph make a Rally? only have Rally Pro peoples who buy those bike can pay a little more for the Pro so as i se it is a scam to sell a Rally not all know all about those bikes so if a person buy a Rally and he think this is the topp of the cake then he find out nope it is not you must have the Rally Pro to get all the wistles, it is to lure peoples i think.

ADV bikes are extremely cool. A friend let me ride his BMW GS1200. Hands down, it was one of the coolest bikes I’ve ever ridden.
