Cops, CPS, Foster care, and Youth Correction facilities are all overwhelmed in Utah. Irresponsible people having lots of kids with neglect, abuse and murder constantly. Hine sight is always best but in the moment its not hard to stay a step ahead.

Well it’s a little late now to go search those dumpsters, again, the system has failed Susan COX, just like the system failed her 2 little boys too.
I loved The cold podcast two years ago. When I see this video on dumpster drops, I can’t help but wonder if Josh powell did the same thing to his wife that Mark hacking did to his wife only disposed of her in various dumpsters instead of one. It really is a terrible thought but so many scenarios in this case you never know. Why a GPS tracker was put on the minivan and these dumpsters not checked is beyond me and just blows my mind that they weren’t searched!! it is sickening and extremely sad too that the boys were left to their own devices living in Stevens home for over a year. there seems to be so many things that were simply missed as Josh was always one step ahead somehow.I am so sad for Susan’s family
Sadly I think he would do this, some have speculated he dismembered her and may have re buried her or put her body in different bins
Sloppy initial police investigation and her children paid the price. They’re all horrifying but This is the saddest case of kids falling through the cracks that I’ve ever seen. Heartbreaking 💔
The police involved in this investigation should be held accountable for not doing basic work.
I'm starting to pick up on that. The interviews with Charlie are almost painful to watch. They could have learned more from him but the person interviewing him seemed completely unqualified. The 911 call from the fire was baffling too.
A calamity of error going from the social worker,dispatcher and police the perfect storm for a cock up.
Especially that child investigator .. she had the answers right there but couldn’t connect to the child so she didn’t get anything out of him to use for a simple arrest ! We alll know what happened and they are looking in the wrong places and sometimes I wonder if that’s on purpose . Utah is a funny place where certain ppl like the Powell’s run the Show !

The dude did have a lot of tools,I thinks bits of her were going in the dumpsters...
It seems to me that Powell figured out he had a tracker on the van. Likely he inspected it after it was returned. Looking at the dumpster drop pattern and other stops, these were “red herrings” on his part.
he was guilty.dumping all the parts ..shes not in the mines in the desert of utah

I listened to Charlie's interview. I wonder if the flowers that "werent very pretty" were gypsum flowers? They are actually cave formations that look like flowers. That might narrow down the search to specific caves....this is one case I cant forget. Was married to a guy like Josh and their thought processes are truly twisted.
I think it was elderberries. The red berries and flowers are exactly like he said.

OMG are you kidding me!!! This is absolutely stunning that this would be disregarded. Just shaking my head at the absolute ineptness of this police force.
The police were too busy going after dead end leads such as looking for imaginary hookers and an inmate trying to trade make up leads so he could change jails

I wonder if Josh was stopping to take photos because he needed a purposeful act to disguise him as cars drove past while he located suitable spots to hide evidence.
THIS is where West valley botched the case. IMO. They never went out to check these areas immediately and that was a mistake.
Did police check the place were josh bought the power tool what as come in the bag see if there was a salsa an extra blade’s

Police said we didn’t have enough evidence, but they kept passing up every very strong circumstantial evidence.
Barry Morphew also stopped at a number of dumpsters. If it's true that cadaver dogs can work with older dna then why not take one to all of these spots. For anyone to dispose of another human being it's imperative to investigate known movements.

They did? I saw they found remains they suspect might be hers, but last I heard there's been no verification that they had identified her. Have they verified they found her?
