Let’s Finish A Bead Loom Bracelet Together!

- There are a few different ways that I finish my beadloom work, depending on the type of bracelets and material I’m using.
But there are a few steps that I ALWAYS do. And I feel they are a must with loom work.
1. Weaving on both ends of your work. Especially if you are making a bracelet, or piece of jewelry that you will be using clasps and finding on. Weaving both ends not only helps keep your beads in place better, it gives a good anchoring point for your clasps so you don’t have to sacrifice a row of beads.
2. Gluing your weaves AND the sides on your work. I like to glue the end weaves for obvious reasons. But I also like to do the sides of my work also. Why? Because I want to secure any lose thread pieces from starting a new thread piece, or what not, so there’s extra security it won’t come unraveled.
These are the 2 biggest things I do on EVERY single piece of bead loom work I do.
Comment what types of things you like to do when you finish your bead loom work.
Quedo muy el cierrre, es una gran idea
Thank you!
Thank you, very nice. Very helpful.
You are so welcome!
Excellent! I have a question, when I take my bracelet off the loom, it’s all wavy (wrinkled). I stretched my thread before putting it on the loom. What am I doing wrong? I use Miyuki thread.
I personally haven’t used Miyuki thread before. But I would definitely not recommend using stretchy threads. Because of the issue you’re having. It’s just too unpredictable. I would suggest using a NYMO thread, that is what I use. I assume you probably use Miyuki beads as well, and NYMO thread is fantastic! I like the Beadalon brand or the NYMO brand. I will link them! And size 00-D all work great with the 11/0 beads. I use it with beads as big as 8/0.

The Beadalon comes in, as far as I know, 10 different colors!
Hope this helps! Please feel free to ask anymore questions or if I didn’t explain something well let me know(:
Ok. So how does one attach the clasp? I'll keep looking

This is great! What glue did you use?
I use GS-Hypocement jewelry glue. Best glue I’ve found/used. Dries fast, you don’t have to use a ton and it’s got that nice needle size tip, to reach small places. You can get it online or at any chain craft store in the USA (Joann, Hobby Lobby, Michaels)
@@designsbymaddy thank you so much!
I can’t believe anyone would use glue to finish the ends of a loom weaved piece.
@@deborahadelescraftroom6150 we all have our own ways of doing things. I simply use it for extra security on my pieces and there’s nothing wrong with that. Just like I’m sure however you do it, I may have suggestions on, but that doesn’t mean there’s anything wrong with it. We all have our disagreements, but that doesn’t mean the other person is wrong. Happy beading!
What is the size of beads and name of the beads ? Plzz
In this video specifically I used size 11/0 Toho (Round) Seed Beads
I usually use size 11/0 Miyuki Delica Seed Beads (Shown In all my other videos)
Hope this helps! 😊
What glue are you using?
It’s called GS Hypo Cement Jewelry glue
