When Rickles heard the noise and the glass smashing, he shouted "pass the ketchup Frank!!!" , that was it, Sinatra burst out laughing and the 2 became good friends

But I recorded at Las Vegas recording studios in the late 70s and even in Dallas Texas I met some. I just tried to be myself and it was ok. Frank was Italian and you’re right grew up in that THING. lol 😂
He was sharp and had great pacing but after a lot of viewing ... seems a bit too racist to me. I mean that not in a comedic way - but there IS a line, and he tends to have that vibe - like Bernard Manning etc. Bit too much, something a bit wrong.
Frank's facial expression says it all. Not at all happy with Rickles remarks. Rickles did cross the line with the gangster humor. Not funny. But then, never thought he was funny to begin with. He always struck me as the male version of Joan Rivers.
Never get tired watching Don. Whenever times are tough I pull up a Rickles video and my sorrow goes away. Thus guy was blessed to live into his 90s
