I was a valet for Don Rickles for 2 weeks in a hotel in Phila. He was appearing with Sinatra at a local theater. Don Rickles was the nicest, kindest man I ever met.
I’ve discovered this gem many years ago and I still rewatch it when I have the blues it gives me instant relief 😊 RIP Don and Larry, two very fine human beings
BOSNIAN_Bloke1111 "The last of the great old time comedians." Old time comedy was the best. My father was a comedian back when Rickles Lewis and Martin Dangerfield and all the rest were popular. He died at 92 two years ago.
just want to say rest in peace Larry and Don, I was born in 1984 but this clip and this style of comedy always makes me laugh and smile and go through the day despite difficulties and problems we all have. We need people like Don and Larry, to make us smile, laugh, cry and think over our life....and those words come from a Pole living in Poland who never lived in US but always admired the openness and the style....all the best, keep this video on CNN.
Hi. Hope you don’t take any disrespect, I do apologize but I need to address this. You need to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior in order to get to Heaven. The heart of Christianity is the resurrection and the evidence for the resurrection is overwhelming. Check it out for yourself at InspiringPhilosophy, Cross Examined and Testify and then give your life to Christ. Praying for you. Thanks Larry and Don for what you did. Hope you’re resting well.
Larry King wanted nothing to do with God and didn't even acknowledge God. When he left his body and became a disembodied spirit he did NOT go to God. God honors our choices. God is in heaven. Larry King is not with God, he never wanted to be. God did not force Himself on Larry King when he died. Larry went to the place he chose: a place where God isn't.
He is amazing. I have grown up watching and laughing . Whenever Mr. Rickles was on stage i would laugh the whole show. The man has class and they don’t make entertainers like him anymore. He hit jokes that pushed the envelope and people laughed instead of making it a issue. Those are the best days. Love you Don
In in stitches over and over in the first two minutes. A time capsule. These two men rose to the pinnacle of their professions. This clip is a treat. Rickles radiates pure funniness like nobody else before him or since.
I almost laughed as much as Larry. Don Rickles was 'truly" one of a kind. I would have killed just to get a chance to hang out with Don for a day. He will be missed. Rest in peace" hockey puck".
I found that Larry's natural love of Rickles actually put mr Rickles (bless his soul) into a candid mood that I have actually never seen from the legend.
To make Larry laugh that hard takes some talent. Don was so quick-witted and it was so nice to see him work in real time against anyone on the phone or on air.
One thing that strikes me about Don Rickles' talent that I feel many people don't focus on, because he is defined by his type of humor, which is insult comedy, is that he is as good an ad-libber as any comic I've ever seen. Nearly all of what he does is ad lib. It really is a talent, in and of itself.
Definitely. Rickles was great with impromptu. He was quick and hilarious, while he did those ad lib comebacks. One of the best. Robin Williams and Richard Pryor, were adept at it too.
Absolutely hilarious! Wish I would have had the opportunity to have met the man! Very few 24 year olds can appreciate this man's comedy. Much love to you Rickles!
Rip good old days. I was and still honored to have been born in the seventies and have lived through eighties and nineties. Life was much simpler and much better.
That is so amazing. He made Larry laugh so much for so long he literally slapped the table laughing! He couldn't get a word in in minutes. XD A legend at work. Even Rickles ended up cracking up. :D
It's all about the Love and the Respect for each other....can u feel it, today it's all cold, very little Love nowadays, if you have or get a little....treasure it, it's golden!! Legends u will never see again.... Lady's and Gentleman... LEGENDS !!!
This is a CLASSIC! 1985 when I was 22 and all these legends were still alive! Don and all those he speaks of! Great times for me as the man talks about his times!
It’s amazing how quickly Don had a funny response to something anyone would say. Like his remark about his wife growling like a bear. His wit was fast as a lightning bolt. Rest In Peace Don and thanks for the laughs and memories.
This is so Classic. A semi young Larry King being forced to lose his shit on his own show. You can tell Don likes cracking him up and really pours it on. It's easy to see they were fond of each other. Great content.
It was over the minute Don came on the show, but it was REALLY over at 22:30 for Larry and for me😂😂😂🤣 Everything he said had me done, I couldn't breathe...I love this guy! Wish we were going to get more for him.
What’s amazing about Don is he can fluctuate from being funny and joking around to being extremely serious and sincere and down to earth. When he is sincere, he is not bsing and he’s very candid.
im 25 years old, and although we have absolute great comedians nowadays, louie ck comes to mind, but they dont make them like this anymore, the rapid spit fire of constant jokes and just the feeling he had, he was amazing.
Larry probably laughed his heart out to make up for all those years of seriousness... But I admit to cracking up as much as Larry when Don said: "What a cheap show, they can't even get the host to show up !". lol
What an amazing talent. To think he never did "bits", he just walked out and went to work on the crowd. In his own right, as much of a legend as Carlin or Lenny Bruce or Pryor. Maybe more so. And he seemed like such a sweet guy to boot.
His face was shining and you can tell by that....that he was a good person....and also he had a wondurful freindship with larry... That's the day when people they were truly listen to you respect you.... What a wondurful and great time ☺
This man is one of the sweetest persons I've ever encountered in life. I was lucky enough to take my dad on his birthday to see him and Frank perform August 29th, 1990 @ Great Woods, Massachusetts. He and Frank were drinking scotch out of rock glasses before the music began. We were in the third row, and I remember a 16/17-year-old girl come up to the stage between songs and Frank said, "What can I do for you young lady." and she said, "I just want to tell you I love you. They were throwing their lingerie up on stage throughout the show. I was in my 20s and it blew my mind.
good old days when larry was a young man. he is only 97 here
Lol
ur right he's more likely 98
Don was 7 years older than Larry.
The "Larry King is old" joke would be better if he were interviewing someone younger.
Just saying.
As young as that, eh?
LMAO
I was a valet for Don Rickles for 2 weeks in a hotel in Phila. He was appearing with Sinatra at a local theater. Don Rickles was the nicest, kindest man I ever met.
That's the best thing you could say about anyone, thanks for sharing.
He was tender like Larry King says
did you fire a rocket in his presence?
Philly✊
I watch this every now and then
I do as well, Larry laughing is so good.
They say laughing extends your life, on this day Larry extended his life for 50 years
I love seeing a young larry king, he's only 84 here, bless him.
Missus Robot A future Don Rickles here.
Hahahahaha
I loved his show. Miss it to this day. Had great guests.
Bruh someone copied this comment a year later and got almost 2k more likes
Temporary Dreams
Lol just saw that myself.
I’ve discovered this gem many years ago and I still rewatch it when I have the blues it gives me instant relief 😊 RIP Don and Larry, two very fine human beings
I just did my taxes today. I needed this to breath some humanity in me again. I totally get you 😂😂😂
Rickles is one of the funniest men that ever lived.
Maybe. By the way, was Don a member of the Bilderberg supremacy?
uhhhhh
...not anymore
"That ever lived," not anymore? Doesn't make sense.
Might wanna give him a Google search... R.I.P.
I've never seen Larry laugh so much! What a treat to see this!

This 28 minutes goes by so quick. That's how good Rickles was, just his conversational type of camera time was Gold.
This is my favourite interview ever!! I watch this once a month. Probably seen it 10 times already, still makes me laugh my pants off.
