Have you guys come up with a hood latch release? This is something I would really want on my 67 mustang since the hood latch are not like our modern cars and anyone can get into your engine compartment with ease? Let me know if you have made a hood latch release as this will eliminate the use of hood pins. And the latch would only be able to open the same as this trunk release latch through the inside of the car.
We do offer remote trunk releases for some other years of Mustang, particularly for some of the 1994-2004 models. However, neither us nor Scott Drake offers a trunk release for any other models outside of Mustang. Sorry about that. - Matt B.
Yes, use the key. We don't open it everyday as it is so why have electric release. I did that upon my customer's request and it's a pile of cheap Chinese crap that doesn't open the trunk. Got to keep trying few times and then it pops open. Must be some cheap low torque solenoid or magnet. I've done these before on GM cars using high torque solenoids and works a breeze.
So, safe to say I can go ahead an install one of these and shave trunk.👌🏽
Thats pretty cool, i would have just gone with a push button switch to pop it and maybe even hid it under the dash but to each their own
That big chrome arm is ridiculous.

Any update on this?
The lever is designed to keep a vintage look but yes it can be tied into an alarm if you wanted to.
That is a 67 Mustang in the video. Keep in mind your truck will have to open smoothly and easily for this to work.
I'd be inclined to use a Momentary switch on the dash

Where can I buy a MANUAL (NOT electric) cable actuated trunk latch release kit for a 1965 Mustang?
I need to do a video for power lock installation on a 68 mustang
And???
would this work on a '71 mach 1?
Hey can you guys do a video on how to change the wiper blades for a 66 Mustang
The trunk latch is different so it is not designed for a 71-73 car.
Wonderful video. KILL THE MUSIC!!!
wouldn't it look nicer if that ugly lever is not used instead gets hooked up to a modern car alarm with remote trunk release
Missed a bolt
why does it have to be electric wouldn't a cable work
We offer both versions
This remote trunk release has gotten a lot of bad reviews.
