I ended up using a couple of interior screws to retain the sail panel pieces but otherwise, installed as per the instructions. Care must be taken if the rubber gasket is very old. It's hard and cracks easily. That was the case for the rear window but it worked out. That's why I used the interior screws. Got the main piece under the gasket but overlapped the sail panel parts.
The quartz clock conversion is on the list for the future but we do not have a 69-70 here in need of the conversion so we will need to wait for the right car.
I got the one piece TMI head liner. It is terrible. The vinyl bubbled up in several spots and there is not enough material for the headliner to go under wind lace. I going with the MTF one.
Hello, Mr Nobody here ....there is no reason why I can't look under "playlists" and find the years/models video's for every part you sell. An example would be, I am currently working on a 67 Mustang. I should see a "1967 Mustang" playlist ...and I should be buying everything CJPony sells for it. Big marketing waste, or did I miss something? imNobodyo
The 05-09 glue failing is pretty common. As far as your door panels on your 11 I would suggest trading panels with someone who would want the grabber blue trim.
When you have that back seat out, its a good time to put in a sheet metal firewall, between the trunk and that back seat... Once rear ended that gas tank will rupture and a fire will burn through that back seat fast. Its cheap insurance. Sheetmetal is cheap too.
Door panel inserts on newer mustangs. Looking at buying an 11 GT but it has the grabber blue stitching on seats and door inserts and i wanna change em out. And my buddy's 07 insert is falling off.
I noticed that you use premixed primer when you put parts together, well I have, also the problem is it's mostly water-downed primer, it has to have mostly thinner than paint or primer so it will exit the can
I have a 68 Cougar. I believe the front and rear glass is the same as a 64-66 Mustang. Does that mean the one piece headliner might fit my car? Thanks!
I would like to know how to do power locks on my 1968 if you could do a video i would love it. i know i need an actuator, door lock button harness and hookups, but how do I make it work with the hardware. Bill I would love to have your help. Im better with videos
Do yourselves a favor and skip the TMI headliner. It’s pretty piss poor. Plus the ghastly cheap-looking suede doesn’t fit the rest of the interior which is vinyl. The Mustangs to Fear headliner is 100 times better. It looks rad. It’s a one piece headliner with sails for the sides. It’s made of strong high quality ABS plastic that mimics sierra grain texture and goes great with the rest of the interior. Why do I know this? My Stang had the TMI and hated it. I switched to the Mustangs to Fear one. Never looked back. Highly recommended it. I expect this post to be deleted by this channel’s warlords.
I really need to see this for the 71-2 TMI headliner
This is an install we absolutely want to do in the future, just need the right project for it.
how does this work with the dome light? I have a 67 coup.

Currently they are only available for 64-68 coupes but there are plans for fastbacks and 69-70 in the future

Wish something like this was made for falcons, so nice to see tho!
when will these be made for the 71-73 fastbacks?
I'd like to see the edelbrock efi return less style install video
can put the headliner light or use special kit for this?
Door panel inserts on newer mustangs. Looking at buying an 11 GT but it has the grabber blue stitching on seats and door inserts and i wanna change em out. And my buddy's 07 insert is falling off.
I need this for my 68 2 Dr Impala custom coupe
I noticed that you use premixed primer when you put parts together, well I have, also the problem is it's mostly water-downed primer, it has to have mostly thinner than paint or primer so it will exit the can
Is there enough room to put fiber optic light In between the ceiling and the one piece
They will be available in the original vinyl and colors in the very near future.
So you don't use the three bows with this type headliner?
it looked like between the sail panel and headliner there was a gap by the rear window was there a fitment problem or would that bee seen
+sam witwiky This was an early production kit, the ones currently available will not have this issue.
thanks
Will this work in my 67 with the overhead console?
Does the 67-68 headliner fit in a 66? Because this would be perfect for mine if it did.
I have a 68 Cougar. I believe the front and rear glass is the same as a 64-66 Mustang. Does that mean the one piece headliner might fit my car? Thanks!
I also have a 68 Cougar. Would love to know if this fits it too. I know it's an old comment but figured why not.
@@cemeteryhill no they will not fir the Cougar. The front half is the same, but the rest back is different. Mustangs to Fear.
Looks like a great piece. Would love to know if this will fit my 1968 Mercury Cougar XR7?
Sorry we have only every fit them on Mustangs but I assume they are different.
Does it only come in suede? No Vinyl options?
Hey Bill, could you make a video for quartz clock conversion for 69-70 Mach 1 clocks?
I would like to know how to install the passenger dash board in a 2010 mustang convertible (base model)
Is there a special wind lace because the one I have isn't fiting the headliner seams to thick
The TMI windlace is easier to use, the normal reproduction stuff will work but its a very tight fit.
are they making this for a 69 fastback?
nevermind I found it.
GunfightersINC Q
how bout for a 68 cougar?
I also have a 68 Cougar. Would love to know if this fits it too. I know it's an old comment but figured why not.
Can i install my one peice before the windshield is in, or it it better to wait till after?
+Erik Unrau You have to install the windshield first, the weatherstrip helps hold the front of the headliner in
I would like to know how to do power locks on my 1968 if you could do a video i would love it. i know i need an actuator, door lock button harness and hookups, but how do I make it work with the hardware. Bill I would love to have your help. Im better with videos
hi Bill is there plans for 65-66 fastback headliners too? that kit would really help my '65
They are available right now on our website
cool thanks
Would you recommend the One-piece over the original style headliner?
Thanks
+Troy Monsen As long as you are ok without it looking 100% original yes
Any Idea how this would work with a '68 that has the factory shoulder harness?
+Ryan Madden you would have to make a hole for the mounting hardware to pass through
Do you guys have a kit for a '69?
What about the dome light ?
You can install one in the stock location if you wanted to.
Mine doesnt have a dome light
Does anyone know if this headliner fits a 1969 coupe?
Not crazy about that suede look. I like the concept but do they make one that is covered with something more original looking?
Are they ever going to make one with the original moonskin style?
+Ro Bo They offer a vinyl original style which is very close.
They make two versions, one for the 64-66 and one for the 67-68
Is the jist the same for a '69?
Yes same basic process
What color red is that mustang?
It was painted that color when we bought it. Was supposed to be poppy red but was more orange.
Thanks!
Got this for my 65, sail panels didn't even fit
What happened to bill? He made great videos
Is there going to be anymore Weekend Wrench videos? Love these videos, it's been helping me restore my 65' Mustang.
The Wrench moved on to a new owner but we recently picked up a springtime yellow 65 coupe and will be starting on it in the near future.
I can't wait to see the new videos.. maybe some engine work? adding a 4bb if it doesn't have one already?
Nice but not a fan. Rather go with original. Just doesnt look right IMO.
Mr. Producer man...stop with the background music already. We're not that easily bored.
