I was one of those kids that looked forward to Labor Day because of the Jerry Lewis telethons. I hated to miss a single minute of them and would stay up as late as I possibly could because you just never knew who or what you would miss. Rest in Peace, Jerry
I think I was about 22 before I realized that most kids weren't like us.
My thoughts and sentiments exactly. I loved him. ❤
When Jerry Lewis sang song this at the end of The MDA Telethons, it marked the official end of summer.
I looked forward to him singing this song and getting through it every year. Walk On, Jerry Lewis!
As I sit here crying, Jerry.. We loved you and we will all miss you. You were a true Blessing. God Speed.
Rest in Peace, funny man. You were always a giver not a taker.
Yes I too watched every telethon, and cried...
God bless jerry he was an angel on earth
I love Jerry Lewis he was the best ❣️

Don't forget upload the video of the 1978 MDA Telethon where Jerry Lewis meets the Chilean television host Mario Kreutzberger Don Francisco
Now I see what Martin Short was on about. Poor Louie.
Not the piano player going along with it when jerry said it fast
I know on the facebook post from me I said its the dallas cowboys cheerleaders I stand to correct myself its the Oakland raiders cheerleaders at the end of telethon 78
And thirteen at the end! 4405!
Love Jerry and all he stoodfor
When I was a kid, I couldn't stand the MDA Telethon, for the simple fact that we didn't have cable, therefore all the stations we received over the air were *all* playing the same damn thing - it *ruined* what could have otherwise been a great day off watching TV!
If they would have had it on just one station then it would have been ok - but no, we couldn't have any options, every channel we got aired the telethon!
+jpowell180 I hear you on that. honestly I couldn't stand the telethon either for those same reasons who in the Stone age 70's let alone today wanted to watch a over glorified vaudeville show/ pity fest . and moreover because Lewis was is and always will be a self loving self serving promoting douchebag . he didn't give a damn about those kids and adults with those conditions and he used that show to fleece gullible people and corporations of all their money. to the tune of Billions! BILLIONS what a extortioner! and yes he and his buddies WERE paid OFF! however time marched on and people wised up to the BS that it was Today the Telethon is no more and you me and humanity are in better times
I loved the telethon as a kid. It was wow.
O I wasn’t a fat kid I was out playing
Every year I look forward to watching the telethon I used to stay up all night
Everywhere I was at it was only on one network station.
Certified nut . But he raised a ton of money for M S.
Always seemed inappropriate to me, to sing "You'll Never Walk Alone" to people who will never walk alone.
